Class Roll?

Honestly I dunno what up with the gamez server...on Crystal we never played by theese rules to only roll for the class your bringing. Mostly, if ya have many chars we can adjust wich one we are bringing to a raid, becuse of what is needed. So meaning, lets say some group need a templar and someone has a templar, joins group but has a main thats sm, cant roll for cloth?

I mean i get the idea, to only roll for ONE classes items, not roll for mace + bow + tome + gs etc etc for the same person. But choose one and roll for that, period.

 

U roll for the item needed by the character you brought to that instance. Unless your running with leigonmates/friends in that case there would be no problem.


But if your running with random people why should the cloth user/users in the group have to roll against a plate user for cloth gear ? Logic ?






In any case, how the looting and rolling will work should be decided before the group enters the instance

i agree, decide before enter. So guessin i should change my main to cleric then since they are always needed for instances. Or maybeh templar, they are kinda neccessary too.

And guessin if i make an alt i wanna gear i need to bring that one, (not a fully geared main that actually is useful in an instance) even if its currently running around in lvl 30 gear and no one will even wanna go to an instance with me coz ill most likely be useless and die instantly. Thats logic :kissing:

 

Dude on crystal a few of us sold SW on the broker cheap anyway so nobody had to do instances

 

Both sides does have a point.

There is always a shortage of a specific class when it comes to instances due to the class distributions. Therefore sometimes if necessary, you'll be running your alternate characters other than your main because having 3 sorcerers and no templar in a group isn't going to do any good.

On the other hand, having it as class specific roll prevents ninja looters which is a big concern for people and does allow the reward of which class you used to help.

 

Plain and simple just dont run with randoms. Even with my legion mates though we try to gear the char thats going (most of the time its our main char anyway) once we're done gearing out our mains we then rotate based on which alt we play the most. Only time we debate on it /roll is based on which pieces the person already has or if its two people with the same type main ie 2 glads or 1 temp 1 glad.

 

Forgot to add it was less significance back on Crystal because we didn't have the population anyways so people using alts for instance wasn't an uncommon event.

If you're doing instances with strangers, it is better to tell the group members beforehand. Inform them what specific items you want to prevent confusion. Some players are fine you do not require certain drops in exchange for another, sort of like a trade.

 

Your istance group was just retard.

 

Thats why u run with friends or decide who gets what type of gear before u enter...that way there will be no problems.



and make sure a vip has lead and put on leader loot if your gruop happens to be random

yeah when i organize i raid i always ask what ppl need before hand. So im guessin when i run with someone elses group and they dont ask beforehand, Ill do it myself. But soemtiems ppl are rude and ignore the question :sick:

And abt firends and legion mates, well im really new to the BIG server content, so im having trouble gettin to know ppl. I only know ppl back from crystal, and they are all scattered in dif legions and play on dif timezones etc, and most old crystal players have stopped playin anyway so its kinda lonely out there.

If they ignore ur quesiton dont run with them....chances r u will get screwed over in the end.

Use rules of common sense: if you want to roll for items of another class, talk to the people that need them ahead of time to see if they are ok with it. Don't be greedy, "I have 4 classes" is not an excuse to roll everything.

On retail we mostly roll this way, everything that obviously wont be worn (green, blue) and is really just enh stones or npced is rolled by everyone, yellow items are rolled by the class they are meant for, unless otherwise agreed upon ahead of time. Some people bring a class needed for the run even though they wanted to do the run on another, so if it helps the party we sometimes leave them stuff for their other char.

that too, the cheap excuse of "i didn't know" or that they don't speak english only run with people who actually understand you, otherwise chances are they will just ruin your run by not following tactics

 

Yes, I will talk in the future, and will tell others to do thesame. And FYI if you had known me, ud really know im not the greedy ***** type and always roll for only one class even if others in mah past groups rolled for EVERYTHING, and many times have done instances just to help out and have fun. But thats not happening anymore since the server is to big and i only help ppl i know and on this server i dont really know many ppl so i dont help either lolz.
