Aion will not launch

Ok so i hit start game then it brings up the blue box with the clouds and the word aion and the fortress in the background.. And then it stays on this for 4-5 minutes( i timed it ) After which it just closes.

Any ideas?

 

u dont happen to have iobit malware fighter or similar garbage right? its been known to simply kill the aion.bin process in task manager. would help if u gave some more detail, since ur apparently not new here

what operating system do u use?
have u played aion on that pc be4?
did u just get the game on that pc or did it stop working all of a sudden?
did u use the downgrade, items.pak or any other modifications?

try run the game with the bat launcher and see if it runs

I have been playing gamezaion since crystal got merged. And it has always been on this computer.
I have not downgraded or patched in about 1-2 months.
The only thing like that i have is Avast..

At first i was launching with WTFast and it didn't work so i figured it was just WTFast messing up. I tried it with the normal launcher and it did the same thing. It stays on for 4mins and 39-41 seconds.

After posting this i did get a blue screen after a while but i did not get the error code or anything like that.

when did it stop working?
whats the last thing u did be4 it stopped working?
can try a system restore by a few days to see if that fixes it, seen weird crap like windows updates cause problems be4

avast doesnt cause problems, i use it too

yea ping reducers can cause issues too

edit: actually since u mentioned wtfast, i know it launches the ncsoft launcher, i have a bad feeling ur game is being patched in the background or is partially patched towards 3.5, that could cause problems too. u might wanna check ur ncsoft launcher

 

It stopped working about 10am central time when i tried to launch. 10-11am. The last thing i had done was at about 2-2:30 am and i was on teamviewer with a friend. He looked at something on my pc, I looked at something on his. Unless you include facebook, youtube, pandora, 9gag.. etc as thing's I've done, that is about it. I was also on axon if that makes a difference?
Right now it is disk checking and verifying my files.. Once it is complete i will try and launch to see if it made a difference.

 

if u mean the ncsoft launcher is doing that, then its most likely update or repair, either of which will get ur client up to 3.5 at which point the client should work, but u wont get past server select coz the version is too new and ull have to downgrade. either way it helps to try run it just to make sure u can get to login screen, that will mean the client is in a working condition

u can check inside ur aion folder, it usually creates a ~PS folder for temporary storage during updates

So it turns out.. Restarting my pc helped.. :3 and doing the disk checkup worked :3 thank you blue screen <3
