marquez-kos-pacquiao.jpg Manny Pacquiao admitted he was ‘overconfident’ when he walked into a punch from Juan Manuel Marquez to suffer a knockout in their fourth fight Sunday at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

“I was starting to get overconfident,” Pacquiao said shortly after the bout. “I never expected that punch.”

Despite suffering a knockdown in the third round, Pacquiao looked like he was in control of the fight. He knocked down the Mexican in the fifth round and busted up Marquez’s face, with television announcers wondering if he had a broken nose.

Pacquiao brought the fire in the sixth round, but caught a perfect straight right from Marquenear the end that knocked him out cold.

“He got me, a good shot. That’s boxing. Sometimes you get hit,” said Pacquiao, who didn’t seem to entertain any thoughts of hanging up his gloves.

“After a few months back to training. Back to fight,” he said about his future plans.

It is sad but that's how it is. It's a game after all, sometimes if deserving, he win. And sometimes he lose. It really surprised me when I saw the news from friends, though. Actually I didn't know he has a match today, until I saw my friends' posts about him losing in a KO. LOL!

Well, he already made his fellow men proud. And we still are :D

Pacquiao really gave his best in this fight, as you can see in Marquez's face Lol.
He won over Marquez for 3 times already and I personally think that's enough. It's still a game anyways, someone will win and lose.

Two things that's bothering me atm,
    1. I don't know if this happens in boxing, they call it 'Scripted fight' Pacquiao lost this fight and 5th fight goes on. $$$$
    2. Is it true that Pacquiao switched religion? and in his fights, he no longer use rosary.

i dont get what u said.

u mean what kind of christian?
protestant? baptist ? jehova ? born again ?

    Catholics are also christian . . .

as far as i know, ppl that uses the rosary are catholics, since they pray to our Mother Mary and Saints.. unlike other Christian religion like the protestants or Iglesia ni Cristo

lol can't believe he got put on his ass in the 6th round.

I guess losing his previous title knocked off his confidence.

Best boxer in the world pound for pound, Juan Manuel Marquez :). they stold his last 2 victories by unanimous decision just because pacman was the champion by that time, I'm glad marquez KNOCKED HIM THE **** OUT.

he coulda won if he wasn't so overconfident on his comback Knock down with Marquez. him being K.D'ed first should give him the reason to be more wary of Marquez's power, instead he went head-on to wanting to finish the fight quick..

Well...Pacman still the best boxer, the only boxer with 8th division titles. And that's makes him a legend on boxing history.

Marquez was prepared, he trained for 4 and a half months (that's crazy) while Pacman for 2 months. He even drinks his own pee eww that's lame. Marquez is already used on Pacman's moves, i expected it though since he's the only boxer who can really bell to bell with Pacman.
I don't have any idea about Pacman's new religion, so I won't say anything about it.

That's a great fight, ofc 5th fight will goes on since it's a business ($ nomnom). But still i'd like to see Pacman vs Mayweather fight but Mayweather is so gay lol

marquez during the weigh in looked stronger and can be faster.
today n the fight.. all was there.. he was faster, stronger and when he connects, it hurts more than before.

i always believe marquez have the tools to beat pacquiao. the 2 decisions were really close and i even thought marquez won the 3rd one. (dont hate, you know it was that close).

but anyway, the Tko for me just overlaps the 2 decision win by pacman and he should call it quits unless he becomes greedy and go for a multi million dollar vs mayweather (which mayweather will really accept now, no reason not to) and then get a 5th multi million fight again vs marquez. He may lose the 2 but come out ALOT richer.

Why is this such a big deal? This is what fighting is like. You can be the best martial artist or fighter in the world and it will still only take one good hit in the right spot to knock you out. You can train hours and hours a day, and have perfect form and technique but real life is not like a video game. It's not like a professional fighter is "level 70" and the average guy is "level 10" and that everything he does to try and hurt him will do no damage.
