I downloaded the official 3.0.0.4 client from other website and I put it inside C:/Program Files/NCsoft/ . I pasted the AION Folder which contains the FULL CLIENT there. I downloaded Gamez Aion Launcher which is 91.4mb... I tried to run it if it will work but unfortunately, it did not. (I got the "Aion 1024" error):(

My last resort now, is to open ncsoft launcher and repair it which i'm currently doing now... (I don't really know, why they use the word "REPAIR" when obviously it is UPDATING. XDD)
God ! The size of the file is FREAKING 17gb which takes like FOREVER for me to DOWNLOAD. HAHA...

My question is this, after the update ... I need to downgrade, right ? is there an assurance that this will work this time?
I don't really want to waste more TIME. I REALLY want to play GAMEZAION again. :'(

Another question, let's just assume that I already downgraded my client to 3.0.0.4. If the time will come that 3.5 will be available, of course.. i need to update, right? Do i need to freaking download the 17gb file again for the update process or I just need to delete some files... please answer me. ;(

just make 2 different folders, one for gamez and one for retail/updates. Just copy and paste the entire ncsoft folder to like your desktop or somewhere else thats not in your programs folder. Afterwards you update the client in the programs folder through the ncsoft launcher. Meanwhile you can still play gamez, and afterwards when gamez updates to 3.7 you can already play 3.7 since you have a 3.7 client also.

Wonder what the other website is, but judging by the size, it is not just an update, it is downloading the entire game from scratch, since it decided it is corrupt beyond repair.

Therefore the by far safest way is to trash the whole client and download a clean copy through the ncsoft launcher (same size anyway, but it wont have to overwrite all the old files and whatever extra mess there is left over from other private servers inside your old client)

Yes, it will work when you get a clean client and downgrade it. The only thing I would watch out for is backing up your bin32 folder just in case before you do, since a lot of people have been screwing up lately and instead of simply overwriting, they ended up losing most of their bin32 folder (instead of overwriting 18 of the 50 files they ended up having only the 18 files). As Isin said, you might want to simply keep a retail version around in case something goes wrong or Gamez updates.

When you are done installing, I would delete the .ncpatch and .repair files in your aion folder, as they take up 15gb of space and are obsolete (basically setup files). That should save you some disk space

I was planning to make an "upgrade" file to get people who downgraded back to 3.5.0.5 using a 100mb or so file instead of making them repair, where the ncsoft launcher labels your client as corrupt and redownloads gigabytes of data if not the whole game; however judging by the fact that I just keep getting infractions on this forum I'm not sure I will stick around much longer. It is really not worth my time and effort.
