We here at Gamez are excited about this time of the year! Tis the season of sharing after all!

So as part of celebrating the season with our Christmas Events lets tell some stories shall we? To enter simply post a submission from one of the following categories to be judged on:

1. A short story describing what this holiday means to you.
2. A poem reflecting this holiday.

You may include a screenshot in this submission, however it will not be considered while judging. Users may only submit one entry for judging. You're welcome to get carried away and post a couple however we will only judge the first one to be posted.

• Ring of Ancient Fire

Participants will receive:

Winners will be chosen by a majority vote from the senior staff no later than Dec. 19, 2012.

When I was a child short and stout
I really loved Christmas like every other child
At the eve of 24th we'd go all-out
Eat the food on the table really wild

But when I got older, that I did
Christmas' colours began to fade
It's like the bottle of Christmas tighten its lid
Now I see the world in shades

Here it is again the eve that everyone loves
Everyone seems eager and excited
But when push comes to shove
I guess it's time the forgotten wick be ignited

Most people see the world in two colours
Perhaps I'm one of the few who see it in one
Don't deny it you know it's true
Do you think there's a solution too?
If you do then you're a part of it all.....

Oh, who cares what I say
Just have a happy Christmas

Hello, suddenly not understand me well, but my effort is big cozz I dont know 100% english

Christmas for me is a month where everything bad Dissapears as the last month should spend it with love, and tranquility

This month we thank God because we let you live the years we lived and 11 months that let us live in this beautiful planet

because I sometimes tell my mother to be grateful to life
will see a lot of people can not share Christmas with a relative, friend, mom, dad, brother cozz they died before Christmas came

so if something bad happens to me the least, I get angry at the time but then I remember that I have live I have family and friends and God let me live for this beautiful month I maybe cry and that make me happy, and sometimes I get a little sadness that many people do not realize this and live around angry So today if you have any defect that we all have to , thanks to God cozz he give u the opportunity that many do not have to live. and ur parents love

My experience that touched my heart In this christmast

IS..

One day I had to go to medical control and my father accompanied me
but we arrived a little late to the medical control and we had to wait almost three hours to get served

My dad got angry with me but one thing he did not know

my DAD works in another city And he can stay only with hes family 8 days of 30 days that the month give tu us with his family , cozz he works 20 days

what I said was
No matter if you are angry with me but for me these three hours were the most important three hours this month that I spent 3 hours with my dad with me and enjoy a lot because I do not know if tomorrow u or me leave this world I do not care if you spend three hours waiting for a doctor to see me the most important thing is to spend three hours with my dad and I thank god that I have you and you too you should thank god that you have your family
and your 2 sons to enjoy Christmas

and my dad fell out tears and gave me a hug and a kiss that I will never forget.

Maybe I cant have a super stuffs like acd , a 20 ms ping ,
but Really I thanks to GOD , that I have friends real friends in This server like
Chibbs , kittye , derp , xyrie , satt,breezz,out,buri,matiaz, and many others and many that dont play now

Cozz i see many ppls that have all , items , ping , and maybe are Gms in this hard server to be gm

but they dont have the most important in a server

a real friends , that u can give us account and dont stole u

because items are cash
but a real friend is A RARE GOLD!!!! THAT COST 1000000 THAN A ITEM

Thanks really for be a real friend in a game cozz I dont play for pvp , or figth with ppl or for be a respect player in aion

this is my short story and Christmas means to me..

When i was a small i am always excited when Christmas is coming. I am excited about caroling, party's gift giving and the most excited part, when my Ninong's and Ninangs are giving gift to me... And also when nochevuena comes are the most happiest part... The Christmas means to me is Loving and sharing...

And now i have family... I am older now. . I am excited also when Christmas comes becoz of this contest, when gamez aion, are giving event like this,.. hahaha.. .

(a very short opinion about what xmas means to me)

Xmas, for me, like most of d ppl, its love, giving, sharing, gathering of families, relatives, and friends...
when i was a kid, its my favorite day coz its when i can have alot of money and gifts, I dont care about others, im so happy bcoz of these things, I dont even care about whos d celebrant of that day... but then when i grow up, i realized that the most important gift is LOVE, by family, friends, and by God. LOVE is d best that u can get! and i hope, for all of d ppl, make everyday xmas in ur life

Story:
Well, I do not have too much words to describe how Christmas is for me, but this christmas will be really sad since I've lost one of my best mates, he was my uncle, he died this year, in September 25th, and well, imagine how is going to be this 25th December for me and my family, specially my mom since she took care of my uncle since he was 3 years old, having some heart problems back then. All I can say is just, HOPEFULLY, my family and everyone in the world gets HAPPINESS and HEALTH since it's what we're lack of nowadays.
For the rest and every single person on this forum: Enjoy your family, enjoy the life, live it as if it was the last day of your life, take care every single person you know and spread peace and joy, be kind to everyone since we're all the same afterall, we're human being. MERRY CHRISTMAS and I wish you all the best.

 

When I was young my grandma told me that on the Christmas we must be happy and we have to share things with others. We can't just accept gifts we must give them away too. It's the best if we share some love with those who doesn't have nobody or anything on Christmas. From that day on I share everything with my friends and my family and those who haven't got anything.

With fragrant Christmas scents,
Hearts filled with the loving glow
That Christmas represents;

Silver bells that tinkle,
Christmas trees and ornaments,
Colorful lights that twinkle;

These are some of the special joys
That come along with Christmas.

 

Well here it goes, of what Christmas really means to me as Christian~

I've heard a lot of conversations (especially by Christians including my parents) about the real meaning of Christmas.

I have witnessed how Christians are entangled with the flurry of Christmas. They spend so many hours, even days, in shopping centres trying to find a gift to give to friends and family who already have everything they need ... sat down with strained around the pine-tree while waiting for them to open the gifts you've bought for them, and on their side, they try to look surprised and cried out with joy ... parents teaches kids what they are mentioned as "a harmless fairy tale" - the story of Santa Claus and how "he will bring a lot of gifts, so you should not be naughty." While poor people starving outside, looking in silence at the window of your house and hope to get some food or blankets that can be used to protect them from dust and cold nights. Sometimes there are some people in life that has more but give less.

We have to become a different person, being a genuine Christian that not only for Christmas, but always sharing kindness whenever it is because we have been very lucky to live in this world with so much blessings God has given to us.

Reflection of Christmas to me:

I was completely unaware I was feeling the way I was, until the tears came everytime during Christmas seasons. I feel like my path in life is being away from people I love. When it comes to travel, the more exotic and far away from home the better; there’s no better way to experience the entire world and learn about yourself in the process than going as far out of your comfort zone as possible. But when it comes to establishing ourselves in permanent living situations and settling down, how far away are you willing to stray from the town where you grew up that may not be as exciting but has all of your family and friends to offer? Running off to Philippines was no big deal. I was rarely homesick while living in Spain for a job, and as scary as my stint as a man who living like alone, living in Europe was no big deal. I called, I Skyped, I got care packages. I missed “home” but was hell bent on making a new place feel like home (as if any place ever really could). Unexpectedly, before i left Philippines, one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do while stepping airport is leaving my friends and family behind. I was excited to start my new adventures on the other side of the country, but for the first time the thousands of miles that would separate me from the people who knew me best seemed a little bit too far. As I walked through airport security sobbing and waving goodbye to my parents, I realized that I might not be the best son to my mom and dad but i will be a better person that id always prided myself. I didn’t think that leaving Philippines would interfere with my hard-earned independence. But re-experiencing what it felt like to be in such close physical proximity to my parents, childhood friends and my Bestfriends. Even having access to my childhood bedroom was an experience that I had no idea I was missing. Almost 5 years living my new life in Spain without my family and during Christmas season. 5 years without them will always killing me from missing them continuously. I miss everything. Logically, I’m always just a two plane ride away and always have been, but suddenly it seemed like my new life would be forever very far away. Perhaps it’s my age or changes in the things that I value in life, but lately I wonder how far away from home is too far and there is no place like home.

for my own short story in a real life..this is, it is my story

when i was young i'm really love christmas since 4 years old i remember my parents should be really buzy in making and creating and designing our christmas tree and i was go around. because i'm a child in every night before i go to sleep my mom should in my bed and she read's a books of christmas story like 'the santa and little child" in that case im just realize know how does christmas related to our life or to all christian in all the world. and my mom told me that someday even not christmas you should be like a santa that who really gives anything to all child.because in our heart having a "grace and loves".because my mom believe if you love then she/he love also because of your love they give life,that you can breath easily and the most gift our god the he sacrifice to us because of "love''.that's why christmas is a symbol of love because our god loves you..until now that the story still in my mind and i never forget it because im just share the story if i having a family in my future...love is a christmas that gods gives you love..

Christmas is times for fun and enjoyment
The entire family gathers together and emotions run high.
While in our regular scheduled life,

Recipe for Christmas All Year Long


Take a heap of child-like wonder
That opens up our eyes
To the unexpected gifts in life
Each day a sweet surprise.
Mix in fond appreciation
For the people whom we know;
Like festive Christmas candles,
Each one has a special glow.
Add some giggles and some laughter,
A dash of Christmas food,
(Amazing how a piece of pie
Improves our attitude!)
Stir it all with human kindness;
Wrap it up in love and peace,
Decorate with optimism, and
Our joy will never cease.
If we use this healthy recipe,
We know we will remember
To be in the Christmas spirit,
Even when it's not December.

Story:
there was a man who worked very hard just to keep food on the table for his family. This particular year a few days before Christmas, he punished his little five-year-old daughter after learning that she had used up the family's only roll of expensive gold wrapping paper.

As money was tight, he became even more upset when on Christmas Eve he saw that the child had used all of the expensive gold paper to decorate one shoebox she had put under the Christmas tree. He also was concerned about where she had gotten money to buy what was in the shoebox.

Nevertheless, the next morning the little girl, filled with excitement, brought the gift box to her father and said, "This is for you, Daddy!"

As he opened the box, the father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, now regretting how he had punished her.

But when he opened the shoebox, he found it was empty and again his anger flared. "Don't you know, young lady," he said harshly, "when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside the package!"

The little girl looked up at him with sad tears rolling from her eyes and whispered: "Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was all full."

The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his precious little girl. He begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later. It is told that the father kept this little gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. Whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems, he would open the box, take out an imaginary kiss, and remember the love of this beautiful child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us has been given an invisible golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

Long long time ago in a far far away galaxy, there was a boy you who's always excited for Christmas season to come because he always gets lots of goodies and toys, for him its the most happiest days of hes life, but this boy grow up things and slowly Christmas become an ordinary day to him, but now seeing hes own children being happy on Christmas season.
