Something that always bothered me as a sorcerer in aion

the thing is as a sorcerer one of the things i hate to do is run away... ive been playing as sorc for about 3 years (i was an ex infinite aion player and focused completely) so i find myself pretty skilled and i rarely run away from a fight, only of course if its a zerg... thats why i just get myself a decent amount of mb and enough ma that with magic assasitance ill be able to hit most clerics... the only shame is that i never got to use MR set and im kinda curious about it...

and Insanitybg, u should read more thoroughly next time, the first thing i said is i dont want to get into the fact that the 10% gs are a bad idea and there was no post here saying that 10% is OP... kinda makes your comment childish...

 

Most of meele classes have their own mr set, crit/attack sets now days in gamez specially glads and templers.
Even though they have mr set those won't work properly like before when it was2.5 period.
Lets see your mr is 2300, sm has 2300 ma with buff sorc can have up to 2500 with buff so now days mr means nothing.
Also most of ppl who have mr sets are under 2300mr I guess.
Most of meele classes are strong like wat u said oh yeah but there are correlation between classes as you know.
If you play sm or sorc then lose to plate classes then you should think about your control first. Its really hard to lose glad or templer if you play mage classes ;
Worry about after the 3.7 update mr is gonna disapear? lol

 

Blind is bad on cleric and chanters cause they can just spam heal until you run out of MP so silence is better not on that but Sprit masters are a huge threat debuffs,fear etc and sorceress = shields , wintry , etc. as for melee classes there weak without buffs espically ranger and sins so silencing them will really benefit. Mr sets aren't just for resisting magic there also for resisting gs procs and stuns and silences etc.

Though that could quickly become its own balance discussion thread and turn into an angry behemoth. Good thing no one cares about theorycrafting, facts are inconvenient to dramatic hyperbole demanding nerfs, so we get to mostly avoid that heh

 

never use evasion it doesnt work on this server i guess coz i tried it,about parry, i use it when i want to troll around on my glad, class build is always based on how do you wanna play ur character,but seriously dont use evasion it fails pretty bad.

 

Clerics DPSing from afar where is indeed valid, is usually quite noticeable due to their tendency to plant their servants where they DPS. Assassins have to stand right next to you when they come out, and you can easily kite them around. Glads, temps, and chanters too. Rangers have to stand pretty close if they use Bestial Fury, otherwise it's easy enough to spot where the arrows are flying from. Spiritmasters are usually marked with a spirit, and you know oftly quick when an SM gets on you (fear, slow, or debuff).

All I'm saying is, I get big magma erupted, by the time I find the sorc (after dropping my initial target) he is already finishing with a 6k Storm Strike and is charging up and Inferno to deal with whatever is left of my hp after the big magma eruption explodes.

 

cheater really hurt us,especially where new here.it ruined the beauty of the game.why they dont ban.. why this is happening?

 

The only reason i have an MR set on my templar is because i cant do much if im silenced, so i think people use MR set not because they are afraid of magic classes but because they are afraid of the OP 10% silence Godstone. Any decent Sorc/SM/Cleric will have at least 2k MA so an MR set is more than useless for that reason..

 

They actively hunt hackers, if you find one, try your best to catch them in the act. If you are too lazy for trying to get rid of them, always try .gmlist to see if you can pm an AM to deal with it. If this still is the case, send a pm on the forums to one of the AMs that is showing up on the online list.

 

the reason for my mr is also cause of godstones.
I mean even though i got 2.4k mr, sorcs still do damage and i still get feared.
Snare? maybe but i hav stuborn spirit to resist them.
But silence.. is hard to deal with.
There are times when u get silenced + snared along with 2 or more buffs behind it, which in case u cant do anything to prevent ur death.

if silence was ever removed, i would use block.

while para gs are great for some classes like sin theyre also horrible for a class like sorc...
the OP 10% of silence/blind is good for everyone...
Also what id like to add that while everyone explained the reason for the situation atm i still think its not completely fair as it gives an advantage to melee classes...
maybe the GM's could remove the evasion cap that could change something...
also i think that i saw in the announcements that in 3.7 some extremely OP classes would be slightly nerfed...

 

Then is better ig you make a formal suggestion in the suggestion section. We have been told, no proof of it though, that the section is read by the Administrators. Is your best bet.

Hard to tell if many are happy or not. It is know that many in the forum arent, and most likely could like what you are suggesting. And in the other hand, there is a lot of people in game that never comes to the forum.
