Updating from 3.0.0.2 to 3.7 problem

I cant update my aion using ncsoft launcher.

It detects my version needs to be updated, so I clicked the update button. Then a box pops up and says it is updating, but the reality is that it is not doing anything. After that it turned into unresponsive.

I tried to re-install the launcher many times. I also turn the region from NA to EU then back to NA again but still I get the same problem.

So I thought maybe there is a manual patch download but sadly even NCSOFT don't have any...

right click and run the ncsoft launcher as administrator or turn off user account control

Vista/Windows 7 only

go to control panels -> users/user accounts -> user account control (last option)
Vista - uncheck the box, accept, restart your PC
Win 7 - drag the slider all the way down, accept, restart your PC

that should let it update (assuming u have enough disk space). otherwise u can always trash ur client and get a clean copy, seems like a pretty good option

 

before this i got the same problem but have been solved. do u have the Pando Media Booster in ur NCSoft Launcher? If you do, disable it and you will be able to update. but if it is different problem do tell me (although i'm not an expert xD)

Pando Media Booster error in NCSoft launcher

Close your NCSoft launcher completely (make sure its not running in the background)

1. Edit your NCSoft\Launcher\Config\Default\Games.xml in notepad
2. Press CTRL + H (Replace function)
3. Type <p2p>true</p2p> in the "Find what" field
4. Type <p2p>false</p2p> in the "Replace with" field
5. Click "Replace All"
6. Save

Alternatively extract this fix to your Aion, NCSoft or launcher folder and run it
pandoremove.zip
