Plssss help, problem with updating my client to version 3.7

Elow everybody....was previously been playing my characters on and off during the version 3.0 but been busy lately irl in updating my client. tried to update it and already verified that client version is 3.0.04 something and tried to update my client and click the NCSOFT LAUNCHER and after the usual verification/updating process, i was surprised to see that there's a message saying AION IS NOT INSTALLED and i need to install almost 14095MB FILE in order for me to update my client version......PLS HELP ANYBODY....I REALLY WANT TO PLAY AGAIN SO ANYBODY WHO CAN HELP ME WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED AND A MILLION THANKS IN ADVANCE.....PLSS HELP ANG GIVE ME YOUR BEST INPUTS....:sick::sad:

 

Ok try with:

1-. Open ncsoft
2-.In the section with no instaled games click aion
3-. Press Install Game
4-.Will be appear a windows like this----

5-. Pres Customize and next browse the foulder were is you aion 3.0
6-. Next install :wink:

Maybe takes more time than a current update but is better than download again all the game.

t5hanks vectra for your suggestion. will try to do that later on.....but wat really surprised me was getting that error message saying AION IS NOT INSTALLED AND NEED TO INSTALL when I was able to log in and play my characters ingame on and off during version 3.0 and ever since i was playing gamezaion since 2010.... wew....is it a bug or wat/// or my ncsoft launcher corrupted or wat??? really so confuse and hoping any knowlegeable AM or staff or even Smartik1 can help and enlighten me why this happens......

 

a lot of people had this issue, the ncsoft launcher basically decided that ur game is too corrupt/outdated to update and redownloads all of it (the 14gb that u see). my guess is thats 1 way for retail to try push back private servers. they gave plenty of time since retail went 3.5 for everyone who actually plays to update their clients and the 3.7 update was just 200mb or so from then (its really 3.5.0.6 so nothing big)

so yea it might be easier to just trash the full client and get a clean copy in order to avoid possible errors since its gonna download everything anyways (same file size) and overwrite ur current files

if u ever downgraded ur client from 3.5 or higher, u can use this to bypass the huge update

Vectra was right about linking the client to the launcher. it doesnt mean the game is not installed (aion doesnt really need an installation, it just downloads and unpacks).

right click aion in the not installed games list -> properties -> browse -> locate your aion\bin32\aion.bin, that will link the game. either way i bet it will still try to download the 14gb, many people had the problem

 

wew, thanks Sir Smartik1 for your very informative info....was really getting confuse and angry at the same time since i mentioned that i already have an existing 47GB gamezaion client atm...guess really need to download the 14GB after all since i tried to follow what vectra said but still after clicking customize, it still ask me to install the whole 14GB.......tough luck on us unlucky players......newey, it was really sort of mild compensation knowing i am not the only one having this problem as per Sir Smartik1's explanation.....newey, gud luck to me and hopefully i can overcome this issue and playa gain my characters......

 

hellow Sir Smartik1, i followed wat you suggested and link my aion/bin32/aion.bin and link it and after awhile i get the message update although the message is still there in my ncsoft launcher that aion is not installed but right now it is downloading only 1.8GB files but it says it is updating from 3.0.0.4 to 3.5.0.0 so i guess i am doing the right thing and hoping everything works out fine in the end...keeping my fingers crossed until the end to 3.7 which you says only need almost 200mb something files again to update.....wew....thanks a lot Sir Smartik1 and vectra for your inputs.....
