    Since we are throwing suggestions out there, I wouldnt mind instant fear being removed as it is a gamebreaking skill.Also to throw in some balance you should make the sorc cc glideable same as fear.

    There are many complaints about Fear, but people don't realize it's bugged in favor of everyone who isn't the SM. When feared, you're supposed to be slowed by an enormous amount. Here, when an opponent is feared, they take off sprinting like it's no one's business. Not to mention that 67% of their fears (50% if counting the remove shock fear) are able to be countered with a simple gliding maneuver.

    I know people complain about fear because it's no fun being completely crippled and watching yourself die, but most classes are buffed up in Gamez as opposed to retail, or even other private servers. Thanks to WoC2, Gladiators (who are already inherently powerful) can throw out huge amounts of damage and random stumbles in a ridiculously short time frame, Assassins can maintain capped speed, forgoing Flurry in favor of another stigma, Templars can stack damage buffs and nearly kill an opponent in the time that their two pulls have stun (seriously, who decided the pull should bring you to the caster AND stun?), and Chanters and Rangers can have godly DPS output. Not to mention that with the higher attack rates comes a much higher chance for godstone procs.

    SMs have fear, physical damage classes have Superman damage output with increased godstone proc rates, and sorcs have damage skills that are on par with nuclear bombs and multiple skills to get out of any situation at anytime, more than once. Seriously, sorc is a joke of a class. Anyway, Fear should be fixed, not nerfed any more than it is. If anything gets changed in the game, make the godstones NOT rely on MA and MR. It's not this way on retail and is one of the biggest mistakes on Gamez.

    I believe the 3.0 patch removed the ability to glide-resist Fear. I have tested multiple times post 3.0 and am unable to replicate the fear-glide resist. I could be wrong. I'm going to re-test later.

    I will also add that a glide maneuver is unreliable because if the SM is smart, he can simply slow/stun/root you to stop you from gliding.

    As you can see, the effect is quite opposite as you suggest. The Geodata bugs occur way too often and instead of moving away from the caster, your character stays in place allowing for molestation of your character. Also, in the retail video I do not see any movement speed reduction from Fear.


    You're right, but there's a problem here. Only SM and Templar have the ability to completely disarm your character with the idea behind it that you can't do anything to prevent it from happening (albeit for Templar you can pop a shield scroll to stop lure assuming your timing is impeccable, but your chances of stopping a pull when you have more than one person attacking you are extremely slim.) You should be able to do something to counter any and every skill. The physical classes with WoC 2 are indeed OP, but they don't have a 100% chance to kill you. At least you're able to do something when you fight them.

    Here's what I think.

    Instant fear should be removed. Too game-breaking and SM dominates just fine without it.

    Fears with cast time should not take effect if your character moves 30m away from caster (as opposed to 45-50m currently.)

    This way, you can do something to counter Fear.

    Oh, just throwing this out there too: It would be really neat if you could RS out of paralyze. It would be even neater if skills such as UD had paralyze resistance the same way that it has stun, stumble resistance, etc.

    If there is a way to counter these skills, then I won't have anything to complain about.

    I don't see why you all are complaining so much, in a 1v1 yes SM will wreck you as it is SUPPOSED to do, SM is like the mage version of assassin, they completely dominate you in a 1v1, but you put any SM in a 1 v 3+ and the SM will always lose.

    Also fear is the mainstay of an SM (all forms of it) thats like saying remove chanter buffs they are OP or remove gladiator knockdown they are OP.
    Why even complain oh you died one time in a fight becuase the SM feared you oh poor baby, chance are that very same SM has died 7 more then you, the moment anyone see's a fear spell everyone drops their target and immediatly finds and focuses the SM so yes fear is an important survival tool.

    If any nerfs to fear happen, they should come with an equal trade off, such as buffing pets to do higher damage and better defense (faster mov speed too) can't count as many times I've watched a SM pet get kited by some one while the SM is mercilessly raped by a Templar

    Fear shriek isnt working properly here, on retail it slows the targets down to the point of almost standing in place while on gamez
    it counts as if it slowed the opponent down and wipes the previous slows they had. On gamez the target you fear shriek runns from you with their full running speed and its been like that for a while, i just didnt wanna say anything since the zerger sms would benefit more from it than i would. But yea what i wanna say is fear shriek is much more OP on retail than it is here.

    It doesn't look that way on the retail video.

    Plus, I rarely ever run away at full run speed during Fear. If I'm in the air then yes. On ground, I usually move for 2 seconds, then pause for 1. Repeat.

    Makes me wonder why NCSoft would ever consider putting in a skill like this... seriously. No escape, no skill usage..... nothing. Wtf? Really?

    using fine anti shock for me doesn't seem to work, templars can still pull me after i use one. i guess the most strategic way to use fine anti shock scroll as an assassin is when someone's chasing you with bow, use fine anti-shock+wind walk, the bow attack will be absorbed and you won't show up while in hide(suppose to keep it for myself but i want to share to assassins who dunno yet. :D).

    bro thats because all SM's know that they must slow their target first to use fear at its fullest, I have a Lv 56 SM on israphel NA and trust me if you fear someone without using chain of earth/ blade of earth (aoe one) you're just a noobie.

    I think sometimes DL does too much damage and breaks the shield.

    Perhaps the shield should receive an increase in the amount taken before it breaks.

    Idea: AP acquisition disable function
    Description:able to turn on/off AP acquisition for a given ammount of kinah(100m-200m) or creds(50-100) but still lose same AP ammount depending on current abyss rank upon death
    only applies to the user
    the opposing faction that kills you still gets AP from you

    I just want to suggest it, I know alot won't use it for ranking up is a way of getting ''bragging rights'' but there are some who cares not for it and wants to stay low profiled. XD

    Seriously fine anti-shock helps a lot to avoid being pulled if you know when to use it. Although some templars are wise enough to stumble/stun you before they pull to break the shield.
