Client install

Hey i have some problems to install the client im running a rly good pc but i cant even download Aion from the official websites idk why it just stop before i can even download it after i click install it crashes.
How do i fix this anyone know? i rly want to play Aion i never played it before lol
tryed to download the eu client also but there i cant even log on the gameforge....

well first of all ur already screwing up. u didnt change ur ncsoft launcher region settings to north america, its set to europe so ull have problems. go to ur program files\ncsoft\ and delete Aion or whatever is left of ur screwed up install and start again

there r also 2 things i would do

1. disable user account control, causes lots of problems with the launcher coz its editing files in program files while this bs restricts access to it
go to control panels -> users/user accounts -> user account control (last option)
Vista - uncheck the box, accept, restart your PC
Win 7 - drag the slider all the way down, accept, restart your PC
Win 8 - Follow the steps here, comments mentioned the visual way no longer disables it, so editing the registry as stated in the guide may be required.

2. the freezing is most likely caused by pando media booster which is sort of like a torrent of the ncsoft launcher, u can disable that using a few ways

The easiest is probably right clicking aion in the games list and unchecking the booster box, otherwise do the following

Close your NCSoft launcher completely (make sure its not running in the background)

1. Edit your NCSoft\Launcher\Config\Default\Games.xml in notepad
2. Press CTRL + H (Replace function)
3. Type <p2p>true</p2p> in the "Find what" field
4. Type <p2p>false</p2p> in the "Replace with" field
5. Click "Replace All"
6. Save

Alternatively extract this fix to your Aion, NCSoft or launcher folder and run it
pandoremove.zip

If you didnt let it wait for a min or 2 when its frozen like that, u can try doing that first, the pando booster can take a bit to start up and may look frozen at first

After it gets installed takes like 2 hours to down it but do i updated it fully to play it or do i stop at some patch point?
