Who deleted all the quests? °-°

Soooo, today I log in to do a few dailys and I can't find them. I check for the time because maybe I got too ealry. It's not. I open my map and can't find any of the quests markers. So I check if maybe I disabled the map markers but they are active. So I decide to check other npc where I'm sure I could find a quest and everything's gone. No quest whatsoever

What happened? And it's not only me because I just asked a couple of friends and they're having the same issue as well...

Lumiel. took a look on it already, some quests are working fine, others just dissappeared.

is this issue on siel as well? they should have been running off of the same server files (well nearly, just stigmas are different)

 

Siel is fine.
Thats quite weird. You cant aquire any new quests, but you can still complete the old ones.

 

tell them to check \game\data\static_data\quest_data\ for quest_data.xml and quest_data.xsd (assuming your folder structure is the same as most sources have it, should be). im guessing someone forgot to upload it or it interrupted/corrupted when patching the server

the reason you cant take them is because all the quests are showing because of client side, but server side is missing

Try to complete some old quests in sarpan/tiamaranta. they should appear again

I got all my wright token dailies this morning, and i even picked up a master crafting quest in the last few hours as well.. However now all new quests have gone.. seems like:

Edit: Nevermind. i think the first time you go to a map, the quests are there, then if you go back subsequently, they're gone.

Edit: Okay so the quests are gone BUT, if you finish an old quest and turn it in, all the quests appear on that map. I guess once you leave the map they disappear again until you turn in another quest.

Gone all the quests, the quest to receive Ticket arena, and the arena of harmony, all of Kahrun daily, I open the maps and will not appear any quest when npc will also not appear in it, please help, I need do my daily quests, since already appreciate the attention!

does it fix quests on other maps or just the one where u turn it in?
does the fix last even after relogs?

 

Pfft smartik didn't watch the whole video i see.

It puts the quests back only for the map you are on and while you are on it. If you leave that map and return, those quests and all other quests will disappear until you turn in another quest. Also The dungeons like AM/EF normally trigger a quest at the final boss, (Tuali, Zadra) and so even if you don't have any quests, you can still do the instance, and then kill the boss while will complete a quest for you and then give you the rest of the quests in sarpan.

 

All the quests are there, they simply are not showing quest markers.

I was doing some testing and such because it did perk my interest. All the quests still work, and are still there. Simply at level 60 they are not showing as they should be. Level 55 does show quest markers, and then upon leveling to 60 again all quests will show. Why? No clue.

A relog does once more, bug out the map quest markers, however the quests are there. It does make it somewhat a pain as to finding quests but nothing all that serious as to the quests not being active and or working. (Non-withstanding quests that did not actually work previously.)

So! While I wait to hear from Alente about this as he has been informed of all the findings that I managed to get out of about an hours playing about. I suggest, if you know the quest name you wish to do, and or are looking for a quest. To do the following.

Go to AionArmory.com / AionDatabase.com

Select, the Quest tab. From there, choose By Location.

Click the location you wish to do quests in (which will show you all applicable quests for both races.) Select a quest, then get the name of the start NPC.

For example:

I selected: Moment of Crisis
First step: Talk to Maios

At which point I would type in /say /where Maios

This will, show you the location of the NPC on the map. Go to said location and talk to the NPC to accept the quest, and continue on with said method for any npc and or mob (or, just see if the location function on the quest sheet itself works. It should)

Anyway, this will for now at the least until we figure out why the quest markers are playing hide and seek with us, a measure to fix them. As well the very least that I could manage to think of for a solution to helping people get quests done if they choose to do them.

Will only work, if you have a quest that has not been completed, and is pending completion. Would be a good mention, however it also requires you to have a quest in such state of requiring turn in per map you wish to do quests on. Decent solution, as long as you fit the requirements to meet this solution.

Does work, which is good coupling both of these should be more than enough for anyone to manage to get all their quests =p . Thanks Halpin for the vid and band-aid =p

 

Hi Puddles

Many of the daily quests are not in fact there (not just the markers, but the quests themselves). The daily Kahrun one in sarpan does not have a marker nor is it there when you talk to the npc. Same with the arena daily.

It's not just dailies either, any npc you talk to will have nothing to offer.

 

Funny, because when I was playing around with it. They were there for me, they were some of the quests I did go and check to make sure of.

But, as I said. I deleveled myself to 55 and then re-leveled which is what gave me all the quest markers and quests showing up on the maps again. (Outside of the ones that would not show up regardless due to being higher level such as ones in verteron or mortheim. But, they are there.

As for why they don't like to show up? Dunno! I do know they are there and are all working as they should be. Seeing how I checked them out other wise I would not have posted to begin with.

 

What Halpin said I can confirm, all quests (whether daily or not) have disappeared. Markers are irrelevant as low level quests wouldn't have markers if you surpass the level range.

 

Yes, well fact is. They haven't disappeared.

The markers are missing, yes; as well as what you are saying is correct. However. What I am saying is 100% true, the quests ARE there and ARE working.

Markers are relevant, as they are not showing on the NPCS even at your level range for the quests.

As for why the game is acting like this? I don't know.

Also as I have said, everyone on Lumiels staff has been compiling information and we are well aware of these issues. So! Hopefully we can get it fixed soon enough, though for now try to follow the solutions above and if they work that is awesome, if not then sorry but you may have to wait until we get this fixed up.

Though, thank you guys for providing as much information as possible. This is something that is currently on the top of my priority list to continually bug Alente about till it something gets done. Gunna kinda suck for him, because I like to nag.
