Platinum and Mithril medals.

I see its worthless to collect these medals or is just me.. i done couple of quests, only get 2 platinum medals.
i see some quests for Mithril but its most for group only. i see one easy quest for 1 mithril medal, but Is it worth it ? ;o
Guys are you collect these medals easly ?

 

There's quite a few reasons to collect the medals!

The platinum if you go to Tiamaranta, can turn in to Mithrils via a fountain. Platinums can also be attained from attending Race v. Race events that GMs do and winning them =D

There are SEVERAL easy Mithril Medal quests available, and those are available from inside the Tiamaranta fortresses, or from inside the main base (Incentive to go take them!).

There is also a couple of PVP ones in Sarpan/Tia that give Contribution Bundles, which have a chance to give medals out.

The Platinum medals can be used to purchase 55 PVP gear, such as Archon Brigade General, or Guardian Primus Plius items. The Mithrils can be used to purchase the Guardian Sentinel or Guardian Commander items.

 

Vildiil His point is its worthless since it seems it will take a bajillion years to get enough to get the armors. I felt the same way but now Im doing it one day at a time, patiently.

@ninjasZX - thats just it, its hard but if you are patient and get all the medals and all the Abyss Points from PVP - then the reward are the PVP sets. If it were easy then everyone would have the best armor - only those who work hard for it earn it.... if you dont like it then donate and get even better stuff.

you cant have something for nothing ... work at it.. I am. :-D

 

It only takes a month to gather enough medals if you have 3 or more characters doing the quests.

Lets calculate gathering Mithril medals: Around 4 for the once off service quests. 1 a day for the soloable daily quest. 2 for the soloable weekly quests. And add a random luck variable of 0-2 extra when opening those greater contribution bundles. (If you manage to find PvP in the Eye, that's another extra 1 per day.)

1st day: 4+1+2 = 7
1st Week: 4+(1x7)+2 = 13
1 Month: 4+(1x30)+(2x4) = 42 minimum if done daily.
Done with 3 characters: 42x3 = 126.
Should be enough for a Guardian Sentinel's Divine set since I didn't even include the extra variables of PvP/bundles rewards.

 

GSD cost 135 mithrils...EGS costs 124 mithrils....but you can buy and a GS set wich dont have rank restriction and costs just 84 mithrils....and do siege no that quest with random dropp from pvp bundle!

 

=O since when did you start giving platinum medals in RvR event winners???=O

coz everytime i entered an RvR event, in which most of the time we won, i got gold medals not platinum medals.

the only way i get platinum medals is through the daily quests in Inggison forts. which is 4. i dont wanna make a new character and grind it to 55 just to get 10 plat medals.
