Im new in this game, i dont have experience and i have some questions

why i cant use some skills because the skill say: u need a melee weapon, i dont understand that

and where can i get some armor, weapon and all those things,

im in Siel, elyo

Welcome to Aion and welcome to Gamez pserver. You`re going to have many many questions over the next few weeks and I would recommend searching through these forums there is tons of information. I`ve been here for about 3 months and I am still learning everyday.

Since all classes split into 2 different `daevas` there is an overlap of skills between 1-9 which can or cannot be used depending on what weapon you have equipped.
Melee Weapons: Daggers & Swords, Maces & Staffs, Greatswords & Polearms (spears)
Non-Melee Weapons: Bow, Orb & Tome

If you are a Ranger, you cannot use certain skills unless you switch to dagger & sword.

You can get some starter gear and weapons in sanctum around the armsfusion/remodelling npcs. Some of it lasts for 14 days others are permanent.

Chanter,Gladiator,Templar,Assassin and Cleric are the classes that uses melee weapon.

The main weapon for Gladiator is spear/polearm. Gladiators are masters of combat weapon. Glads can use all melee weapons except for a Staff which is made for Priests

Yes you do need to equip a weapon and gears to start leveling with. I suggest you go to sanctum and buy gears with kinah just for the sake that you have something to use and start leveling. You have to buy level 20 Plate armors from breastplates to shoes and of course spear.But as what Jayrii have said you can choose a number of weapons except for the staff, but Gladiatiors normally use spear. After that you can start killing mobs and eventually level up. On the second thought, doing campaign quests is a lot faster than actually grinding on mobs. If you got a friend playing the game as well, you could ask him/her to mentor you, that's the fastest way to level up. Then when you reach level 60 you can look at gamez black cloud market or the gamez item shop in the website to see how much does PVPE gears/weapons cost these days. In order to buy them you need to vote and/or donate.

Ways to get powerful pvp items without voting/donating:


You can purchase Divine Coliseum Champion (level 55 eternal, level 1 conditioning) with crucible insignas and courage insignas.


You can purchase Elite Archon/Guardian Tribunus items with gold medals and abyss points.


You can purchase Archon/guardian primus pilus items (level 55 fabled) / Archon Brigade General (level 55 eternal) items with abyss points and platinum medals.

"How do i get medals?".


You can obtain Courage/Crucible insignas by entering the Arena of Discipline/Arena of Chaos in marchutan's priory/kaisinel's academy

You can obtain gold medals by going to events/fortress sieges or by running instances in the abyss.
You can obtain platinum medals by leveling up characters to level 55 (you will get 10 medals each character) and by completing repeatable quests in gelkmaros/inggison.
You can obtain Mithril medals by exchanging platinum medals into mithrils, through the special coin fountains located in Sarpan/Tiamaranta/Oriel/Pernon,
You can also get them by completing daily/weekly quests in Sarpan/tiamaranta or by joining fortress sieges in Tiamaranta.

ABG (Archon Brigade General)- When you have the Platinum Medals you can acquire the Gear in the Cloister of Kaisinel > mopsus / tororite


For sorcerer, siels forgotten is best for PVE - lot of mp, additional crit bonus, sufficient HP.


1) ABG Sets can be bought at npc located on either CONVENT MARCHUTAN// ABYSS FORT // GELKMAKROS FORT ---->for asmo only


2) 1x ABG SETS = 356 pcs PLATINUM MEDAL ,


3) New instance to get primal sets is on Sarpan (you can going here by going to marchutan priory> using teleport>arrived on a ship> talk with statue and choose ready to go) . After you get there, open your map by pressing 'M' and see the instances(looks like caves).. instances there are names Elemental Forest and Argent Manor


4) RENTUS BASE -RB located on tiamantra . you can go to tiamantra by walking to the south mid of sarpan map

 

you can purchase GCD gear ingame now?? as far as i know you can't.
