Disconnection

Ummm i need some advice on this.
I realise i kept getting disconnected every once in awhile whenever some players used hide, hide 2, shawdow walk, assassin's teleport skill?
Whether they go into hide mode or comes out of it.
Is there anything i can do to stop this? like ummm adjust the graphic settings or?

Are you sure it is caused by that skill and not other reasons? Sounds pretty random. Go make an assassin yourself and use hide on an empty map somewhere, see if you can make yourself d/c alone (or get on an empty map with a sin friend so it is just the 2 of you). If you can't, then it has nothing to do with hide.

 

ummm i suspect its something to do with the graphics? >< well i am not really sure but i kept getting disconnected every once in 5 to 10mins though, wasn't experiencing this on my old compy.

 

oh things i tried with the connection issue.
1st - i tried to afk my character in inggison observatory and it seems fine, however it disconnected once.
2nd - afk my character in studio, stays connected for 5hours so i dont see the issue in connection.
3rd - tried pvping in inggison, disconnect every 5 to 10mins
4th - gelkmaros pvp, seems pretty smooth walking to gelkmaros fort, pvp wise keep getting disconnected every 5 to 10mins, mostly dc when encountering with asmos / elyos (no zerg, mainly leather classes in remote area)

ummmm i am using WTFast and lentrix 3.0 like my old compy but only my new compy keeps disconnecting

i also tried adjusting my graphics settings a little

If your new pc d/cs but old one on the same connection doesn't then it is most likely not your internet. Are you using the same client? Is that the default or HD engine? What FPS do you get outside of/during pvp?

Try logging in without WTFast and see if the d/c goes away. If it does, you might want to think about selecting a different WTFast server.

Has this always been happening on your new pc? Or it just started randomly.

 

1st. i downloaded the client last weekend using ncsoft launcher, so i suppose its different? didn't copy and paste from my old compy as i dont have hard disk then.
2nd. Its running on HD engine.
3rd. 59 to 60 FPS
4th. tried playing without WTFast, doesn't disconnect that much but i am having spikes, ping ranging from 300 to 800ms randomly.

Other things i tried
Battle ping, same issue when encountering players, disconnect especially when players goes in hide / comes out of it.
No disconnection when i am in my own studio.

Seems like you aren't the only one having lagg spikes so right now it is quite possible it is the server having issues.

 

guess i will have to bear with the disconnections every 5 to 10 minutes till i find any solution for it ><

 

yeah yeah yeah... we got the same problem too.. I always get DC from 10-20mins... I dont know why??? is it because i used Battle pings or Something???
And besides... if i enter Tiamaranta 5-8x i will get DC in wars... or when i use wind stream, when i fall ill get DC...
Like what happen this afternoon... i logged in my ranger and go to gelkamaros to buy some Greadter Divine Serums i get DC... i tried to log in my Account but its fine... After that i open my other characters its all fine but when i open my Ranger... i got DC and DC and DC about 13x... IDK why...

 

is it because of windows 8 issue then?

 

There are quite a few windows 8 users here playing just fine, not an issue.
