How to macro between two same sets.

Hi guys, I would like to ask if any of you know how to switch between two of the same sets via macro?

ex. I have two ABG PLATE sets but I have different manastones build up and I want to succesfully switch inbetween them w/o messing up.



QUESTION : What macro command should I use?

You can't, the macro's and the hotbars read only the item ID, not its properties, so if you have two torsos, one with HP manastones and another one with crit, even different plussings, the macros and hotbars have a chance at going for either of them. Long story short, it can't be done. It's why some people support the idea of making Guardian versions of the pvp sets available in shop as well.

Wrong. You can use different quickbar sets, even those that r unused (there are lots of empty sets) and reference the macro not by item name, but by the number of the set/row/slot in the row that they are in. Since there is specific item in that slot, you always use just that one item.

 

Actually it CAN be done from the new macro command introduced in 3.7, using the "/use X Y" input


However this requires the items in your inventory cube to be sorted in the same cell/order or else the macro will just use another item in the same inventory cell.

 

I dont think this will be possible since those god damn GM boxes still mess around inside your inventory. And we all know that when you switch sets really fast, sometimes the parts get all scrambled up your inventory instead of replacing the slots of the previous set you wore. :3

 

Using the Auto Arrange should still put it back into order since weapons/armours will always sort to the first cube. This is unless you've obtained a new equipment recently which will mess up the positioning. Those Gift boxes should sort to somewhere near the bottom using the auto arrange.

 

Yea but that is still really unstable since it works under the assumption that you never loot and autosort and the items are always in the same inventory slot, which they are not. If you use the quickbar method and reference those instead, the same item is always inside the same quickbar space.

 

Pretty sure the quickbar method does the same as the macro method if I'm not mistaken, it will look for the item ID, not its properties..

 

LOL couldn't believe it until I tested that on retail. 2 of the white lowest lvl tunics, 1 with magic boost other evasion, regardless of what i put in the quickbars, it shows the evasion one. Yea ok sorry xd that was stupid. Really thought this used to work in the past

 

so there's no way but manually switching them by equipping them 1 by 1 while looking at the slotted manastones for the build while in combat? :3

 

Wish they did it the way runes of magic did. Instead of just having a weapon switch you had a button that switched between 2 full sets you had equiped. Saved both inventory space as well as made it easy.

 

Templars would complain about not being able to use 3 sets (?) lol (Or at least Nubhosin would)
