Big ping!

Ok...guys a wanna ask here if someone have same problem like me mean from 2 3 weeks ago my ping explode when i play aion in siel server mean from 170ms at 500+ and stay here ...someone experinced something like this cuze i test my network at home i do test on sites for speed and ping i call at my isp someone come my home test the network on 4 different pc's and semms to be fine...but in siel my ping is very big then before!!! before mean 2 3 weeks ago when all wass fine for me from almost 1 year i play here!im alone or someone have this problem??

 

Try using Battleping, it really helps.

There are a few things you can actually do to improve your ping and make it noticebly lower.

1. Reduce game network latency in Windows 7 or Vista « Life & Code
2. Leatrix (program)
3. Battleping or WTFast

I may also add that ping does vary and at certain periods of time it can get higher than usual, for all players.
But it always returns to a stable level after it peaks.

i have a network here mean i use a router im after a router.that changes from step 1 work if i use a router?someone can confirm that guide?work?cuze after i read that guide semms is not 100% sure that settings low my -your ping?!...leatrix is free forever?..for the step 3 i used wtfast for 3 days but my ping dont do very big changes from 500+ ms ,now is 300+ 400+ but very important is not stable,mean grow from 300+ at 500+!!!...and wtfast do some changes here in my network and block the internet for other computer cuze i use router i tell above,my oppinion this battle wtfast tools is not a big deal,ive heard someone installed that wtfast and after him ping wass bigger then before!...so i cant use wtfast and i think and battleping!!!i dono what happend with siel but i play from 6+moths and dont have this problem my ping wass 156-172ms but from 2 3 weeks ago siel is very laggy and my ping grow at 500+...i read in other thread others few guys have this problem....cuze siel suffer some problems from 2 3 weeks ago i tell you...i call at my isp ,that guys test my network everything is fine here...siel is too crowded...many people play and server is very laggy!!

 

I noticed some ping increase the past week but now it seems to be back to normal. Try using wtfast or battleping.. And install the leatrix latency fix as suggested above.

 

wich version of leatrix?...2 for online games or 3 wich is general fix???wich is better??

 

Last night i had like 50ms and it was stable. I was running around like a boss ! killing mobs , killing elyos , suiciding , getting pawned . Suddenly a *beep* sound started to irritate my ears . I didn't pay any attention until that *beep* sound was insisting, my vision in aion started to blur , no ! don't do this to me ! LEMME DREAM !!!

 

i've tryed step 2 and 3 and nothing help me too much my ping is over 200+ but what is important is not stable grow instant to 350+ 400 or 500+ rarely and 600......first step noone confirm it to work..just complains there so wtf i do?!!

 

last week my ping in stable until it get increase n increase until today (600ms)..i had check my connection n pc but nothing problem..i try to play other online game but everything normal..can anyone help me??

 

omfg i think is something wrong with siel server,tooooo big ping........and i do all that 3 steps given above no one help me too much,first grow my ping to 800ms,second same ping like without it,and third lower my ping to 200+ but is not stable grow instant to 400-500+....i think siel is to busy....too much people or something is wrong with server connection cuze i've tryed all that steps given above from paulablu,i tested all my network in every way(ping,download upload),i call at my isp that guys from my isp come my home test the network,nothing wrong ,but nothing work to low my ping wich is bigger then 200ms using battle or wtfast+and before mean 6 months ago when i start to play till 2-3 weeks ago my ping always wass 156 -172ms without no one of this programs tricks tolls or wherever.....so my connection with siel is fine,i think siel connection is too busy or network server location have problems!something happen and is not from me location with this very big ping ho dont want to be lower...my last try is to do an fresh copy of os and aion game...if dont help me i give up:d

 

check your modem and your cable

if the cable is attacked to something hot it makes the lacenty unstable

 

i check my internet cable is nothing hot in the cable way...the modem is fine...but is same thing whit modem and without it?!!!

 

did you try playing other online game and check the ping ?

 

no i dont play other online game,just aion!ps:today i reinstalled a fresh windows copy and reinstall and fresh copy of aion,and same thing same ping!so or network from the panel to entrance in my home something happend there or siel is veryvery laggy then before..just this 2 option im thinking now....but for the first option...i call my isp and a team come my home two times in two days and test the network from outside my home fine at my network card,and change cable to 4 different pc's ...2 main(2desktops)...and 2 laptops isp team have them,,and is fine nothing wrong!!...so the last option is:-server siel is very lagggyyyyyyyyy, busy, full of people,or server network location have problems,or server network card have problems,or server itself have problems, and staff dont know it!

 

Hi Guys, I'm not sure if i should post here or start a new thread but since it's somewhat related, i hope you guys don't mind a minor threadjack.

I'm having some mini spike lag issues in game and they too have been going on for a few weeks. My ping used to be erratic most of the time, like: 50, 100, 250, 40, 287, 35. However it never used to go above 333 (for example) and so any fluctuations were imperceptible by me in most tasks. Lately though instead of fluctuations, i get consistent ping with little spike lags (see image). I know in previous mmo's, mini spike lags are usually caused by something loading into your screen, however this is occuring even if i'm standing still in a remote area with no one around, every 5-10seconds consistently. Any ideas what this could be?



Edit: I've tested my mbps at speedtest websites and that seems fine. Surfing the net also seems fine. I also have this problem whenever i'm using the Gamezaion website.

your ping is crazy instable mate..you are another example like me and few guys post threads with this kind of problems ,im curious how many players have this problem and dont know it....in my oppinion server is to busy too many people play ...and his capacity is too lower for this traffic or the server network location is with problems and staff dont know it!im very curious what ping are registered in the area of the server location maybe someone from chicago can post some ping here...too confirm my suspicion about server hardware and network status!...cuze people around the world have this problem not just me and you from 2 different countryes ...this server is not a official server to run very good is a private remember!
