Question about selling account.

• If a player is reported/caught trading an item(s) using Real Money, he/she will receive an immediate Account Ban.

We all know this right.

But am i allowed to trade my gamezaion account/stuffs to things like for example some games on steam or retail stuff/account ?

Offcourse at own risk but is it allowed ?

Cause i wanna quit here but i don't wanna get stuck with this account.

Note: i'm just asking tough i didn't do anything yet so there is no need to gimme a pinkie name lol.

im not exactly sure about this either. Only way to find out is if Alente comments himself since im highly sure that most of the AMS/SAMS dont even know either, or either they will say Its against the rules without explaining the difference between rmt and trading for other stuff.

 

They actually gave a clear response about this already. Yes it is allowed as long as it does not involve real life money, but at your own risk. No items will be returned if you get scammed in the process.

 

What i mean is lets say for example if i was trading my account for a retail one with alot of items on it but in order for him to put the desired items i want on the retail account for mine, he had to spend like 20bucks to get ncoins so he could get the stuff i want. In a sense thats rmt thats what i mean.

 

I’ve seen some players before trade account for account...seems legit or else would see them banned already... And there was big threadone time on the controversy about it... and it ended if its items for itemshould be legit. But if you are trading and person need to give money for a part of it... then it will fall in rmt I think... maybe a more official person can shed light on this.

Trading an account for something, off of GamezAion etc, is considered RMT. However- There is no money exchanged, which is a grey area. If you do wish to trade your account for something else, such as steam keys or something, it is still technically RMT as there has been some form of monetary transaction.

The hitch in the statement of the rules is being that if a player is caught trading for things using real money. If you were to trade for say Steam Keys, typically someone has bought said key, and it is in lieu of any formal money changing hands, think of it as money laundering. The money still trades hands just under a different fashion than an actual monetary transaction.

Have we issued bans on players trying to 'trade / sell' their account for other games items, and or things in the pass short answer is yes. Reason would be above.

There also comes into the picture with doing something like this a large amount of inability to protect virtual assets, where someone could change account information on any of the said accounts at the click of a couple buttons and basically commit acts of theft against one or more parties.

I would say it is a bad idea to try and do something like this =p

On the other hand, when it is a case of trading accounts where nobody paid anything, like Gamez account for a LoL account, it has been approved by GMs, however at their own risk. It has been done many times in the past and it never was a problem.

Altough i have big question marks about why it's not allowed aswell.

I Donated like 400 Euros here over a period of 2 Years.

What would be the big deal if i would sell my account (with outdated ACD Stuffs already and in 4.0) for like 50 bucks.

What would be the big problem ? Gamezaion owners had their money in the tenfolds of it.

But anyway i just gonna let my account rot away then probally and check out 4.0 once it's there =)

IMO anyone has their own freedom to do with THEIR account whatever they wanna do with it.

Just like you sell used stuffs like cars and basicly everything.

Making a rule about RMT trading doesn't make sense because Carl had 10 Times more of me then what i would want for it because everything becomes outdated.

Imagine if i would give my account to a friend (for free) but a week later he decides to pay 50 bucks for it.

How on earth you possibly gonna check that ?

The rmt doesn't make sense to me but it's a rule that i will respect in order to not get banned.

the thing is... why to pay for your acc some1....when he can donate? same money ...but some1 else gain em that s why s not allowed real money trade.....that will decrease donations

 

So from what I understand of this, since the money the person paid for the key goes to someone else (not Gamez) then it's against the rule. If for example they had an account on Gamez Terra you can trade your gamez Aion account for that since all money spent would have gone to gamez. Is this correct?

1. There can be no "regulation" of what people sell stuff for.. maybe 5 bucks.. maybe 500. I could vote for credits, get full HAC and then sell the account for $300 bucks.. none of which goes to Gamez. I can even vote on multiple accounts play on one, sell the others and gamez still doesn't see a dime. It's not about how much the account is worth.

2. Despite the fact that you are the only one that knows the login/password, I don't think you actually OWN any intellectual property or items (like you would a used car). The items in your account were not bought.

3. You can take advantage of any bug exploit, voting exploit, or any other rule breaking on this server as much as you want as long as you don't GET CAUGHT. Sometimes people open their mouth and say things they shouldn't and your friend might just do that. Even then it would be his account that gets banned.. since you don't play it doesn't concern you till he calls you to complain about it. There are plenty of people ninja looting, using bots to stay online and farm items, voting on multiple accounts, and they are okay because the onus is on the players to provide enough proof. I am NOT encouraging people to break the rules.

 

Basically yea, was gonna say that. It is because if people trade accounts it means they get fewer donations from people who buy accounts for far cheaper than the gear would cost them from the webshop.

 

you can never be sure nowadays with these account trades.. imo just keep this account for fun in 4.0 and start playing somewhere else for yourself, it's risky and it doesn't worth it..

 

You can just sell your account , there's no need to tell admins about that

They can watch me as much they want to even 100 times a day because i still have my account.

Sure you can hate on this or find it stupid i don't give a single sh1t because i ain't playing anymore.

I Bet there are tons of people like me that quited and IF they COULD sell/trade it (with loss offcourse cause stuff gets outdated)

they would do it.
