Look if we want this server to be better then the others then we need full support of its players, that means if someone makes a mistake or does something u dont like dont instantly say ur gona get them banned offer ur knowlage and exp. in these area's. Treating each other with respect and how u would like to be treated is the only way to make the gaming exp for all a good one. i went to a instance for the first time today and was insulted bcuz i diced not knowing we were class dicing. i was invited i didnt ask to go. this comes back to treating people right. if u know ur inviting a person that has alrdy told u they have not been to a instance b4 then have the decentsey to explain how things work before u get a attiatude and threaten to have them banned. grow up Outlook...
For my first instance i enjoyed it, this person has left a thorn in my side mistreating players that have helped them and not got anything in return...
Avoid players only out for them selves..

In terms of rolling for items, unfortunately you'll get frowned upon if you rolled for items that cannot be used by your class. You should always stick to roll for your current character's class only to avoid getting harassed, defamed and kicked. Unless there's agreements made prior to the instance or if you're playing with many close friends that knows the situation. You'll understand why many is frustrated by this fact if you've experienced your hard work wasted by greedy individuals only seeking to claim profits.

As for new players entering instances, there is an assumption you least know the general idea. Most boss fights are very straight forward with the tank and spank approach. However for more difficult bosses, responsibility is divided to two sides. One is that the newcomer bare some responsibility to ask if there's any particular instructions to fighting the particular boss. Equally important, other group members should also explain or do a confirmation that everyone knows their roles. The role of your class is important, eg Clerics stick to healing, SMs paying attention when to dispell.

The problem is that everyone reaches lv60 too fast and without access to any proper gears, they need to go instances.This is why some players dislike grouping with newcomers, it makes the task often more difficult as undergeared (you'll potentially get 1hit KO'd). This also means many lack experience of how to play their character and what roles they serve in a group environment. The catch22 is you need to go instances to get gears but you lack gears to go instances. However it is not to say all beginners should be excluded, everyone were beginners at some point (hence the need for respect like you mentioned), but you shouldn't tackle the end game gameplay lightly. The game is pretty unforgiving since something simple as taking on more than 1 elite mob can mean death. You need to work your way up, one approach is do lower level instances first, get some more decent gear, get the feel of the game.

 

Problem is, every player nowadays is going for the highest PVP instance possible (Tiamat Stronghold or sometimes DLR). No one is going for the lower 55-60 instances (Argent Manor/Elementis Fortress or even Besh Temple) anymore, which makes it harder for the newbies to get decent 55-60 gear without breaking much sweat. As a result of this, they are forced to join whichever instance the majority of the server is going for (which is TS/DLR).

Well, welcome to MMOs.

Honestly, no matter how many likes you get for the post and the intention, hardly anything is gonna happen about it. is one of the things that are part of this type of games, now and always. Is better to just deal with it with a smile, and no f.ucks given.

 

My suggestion to all newbies is to scope out the tube about their classes, then practice the basic skill rotations for bosses, and then go for an instance run. Rest assure, no serious group will kick you out if you're good with your toon, but lack the bulk gear. Groups that do this are either composed or reeealy lazy people or people who's skills are shaky as well, so they can't compensate for your lack of experience. Tho I don't play Aion, I play TERA and we have the same issue with new people getting kicked cause they never did this certain instance. How are they supposed to do it when everybody kickes them lol...

If something like this occurs in your situation, just do it like me [tho I'm a natural MMo player and adapt to any class in a matter of hours] - just look on youtube about this and that instances and their bosses, then form a group under your leadership and explain in detail what tricks people are going to tackle with. It might be a lumberjack run, some will die once or twice, but you get the minimum experience from running it once, so next time things won't look as grim as the first one. Patience is the key to enlightment

 

I agree with Mr. Robot. This is a MMORPG same as every other, same things will happen, good and bad things, you just gonna have to deal with it.

 

no actaully my acc wasnt banned. im currently logged into it at this very moment. however i do feel the need to express my concerns of how people are mistreated on this particalur server.

How dare you silly nub with 3 posts give me advice! Burn him! WITCH! (j/k) I still remember my first instance -elementis forest- I was told to class roll (gladi) but i rolled on the templar-only greatsword that drops from the monkey. The templar was pissed .. i think he even rage quit.. i tried to give it to him but the 10 minute trade thing wasn't working. I even thought about saving up credits so i can vote and give it back to him in 2 weeks.. it was only 4 slots too. In actuality, gladiators can also use the templar only greatsword as the 2nd item in fusion - learning that made me feel less guilty.

We all make mistakes, no matter what the people in your group say, or threaten to do, don't take it too seriously.. a lot of that stuff is the heat-of-the-moment, stuff when emotions are running high. One day when you're a pro you'll probably rip into some nub too.. it's the circle of life .. initiation by fire.

I felt guilty because I had been trying to get into an instance for a few days with no luck. Finally a friend of mine (cleric) said i could come with them and then I did something stupid (roll on the GS) that made me lose a little trust from my friend. Suffice it to say it was a while before I got another invite to an instance.

nah jk lol, on a serious note, rolling for something can't get you banned, it's a legit way of getting an item from something you helped in. Sure, you might earn their distrust but it's nothing that can't be fixed by talking. A lot of players in a lot of games aren't as nice as you'd like them to be, but don't let that worsen your day. My advice is try and find a legion/gaming group/couple of friends that you can trust, as in, you forged a nice relationship with. This may be difficult, especially in this server, but if you do it right you won't regret the company. Don't just rush into a legion asking to get invited or join because you randomly got invited, try and work things out. You'll appreciate having a legion by your side which you can trust and do instances with while knowing they won't snap at you or ninja out. It may get hard to enjoy the game if you run into the wrong people, but don't get discouraged =P
