"Consoles gonna die" I would like some hard fact info for an affirmation like that, sounds much like you dont like them which is different to say they are gonna die... IMO.

The only system that is going to the "non used games route", with the authentication feature is the Xbox one.

Outdated hardware... debatable, games will play in the same. And for once I rather have developers focus on content than on "looks". Plus cheaper entry consoles, I still remember the $500 of the PS3 at launch, versus the $399 of the PS4.

Social media is part of the crap that everyone thinks that everyone needs and is bullcrap, but I give it to Sony they didnt spend half the show telling how you can watch tv on it.

Steambox, debatable. A PC user wont spend money on another hardware when it already has a PC that has a lot of money in it that runs the games all the same, with a more flexible controller that is the keyboard and mouse. And the Console users think the Steambox smells to PC too much. Nah, a large barrier to jump in there to be profitable in a short term.

 

Consoles will stay alive thx to exclusives. If enough games turn out amazingly and won't be anywhere else, people will go for it.

 

They might die out but i doubt it. As long as people want to be comfortable/lazy they will forever be around lol. I know thats a main reason why I play consoles over pc. I love being able to GO TO THE BATHROOM and play w/e I want on my psp, or laying in my bed looking at my 50inch screen playing my ps3 instead of always being at my desktop. and this steambox you speak of..i must seek more info sounds interesting. Plus this lending game problem only goes for xbox sony doesnt have a problem with that at all.

 

Well technically you can use your tv as a pc display output and plug in a controller into your pc as well xd but yea you lack the console optimization if you wanna do more things on it.

 

yea thats how i play some of my pc games now only thing is, cant stretch as far at my ps3 can since its wireless. Wonder if i can hook my wireless controller to my pc some kind of way...hmmm

There are plenty wireless controllers for PC, if you can't use your console one, buy another. They cost like $50 for wireless if I recall (depends on brand etc) and use a small usb adapter as a receptor (like bluetooth mouse)

Well gonna buy both soon.. But i prefer ps4 right now.. As on what you said malc.. Its abour sharing games.. Im gonna buy xbox one cause of theexclusive titles ><

Lies, you can play with xbox offline, like throwing it at people xd You can trade it with friends, like those who take it apart for spare parts. You can play without cam connected, play dodgeball (well dodgexbox) xD

 

wait so you can''t play xbox offline now? LOL? Now I was coming here to comment on how bad xbox failed with the sharing system alone, but this....I can't believe they actually thought it would be a productive or smart move to do all that crap to xbox... kinda almost sounds like something you'd expect to see in a movie about a fictional monopolized totalitarian community....like if Xbox was the only way and there were no competitors or alternatives, but sadly that is far from being the case.

This generation is won by the PlayStation team hands down, but to be honest this was one of the worst generations. A couple of months back, Nvidia commented on the PS4's system being comparable to a low-end PC; the Xbox One has features and capabilities that allegedly barely surpass those of the PS...THREE; the Wii U....is it even able to compete? lol....

To be quite honest, I am putting my hopes on the Pirate community and Console Emulators. Sadly, emulation development is not going as fast as it has on past console generations, but I'd much rather own a good quality PC and wait for emulators to be developed (perhaps even partake in their development once I am capable enough to do so) than buy these consoles that could be compared to cheap ass computers, and with the word MONOPOLY written all over them...

 

You can play offline, however it needs internet activation once every 24 hours to work. As for emulators, not sure how fast those will move. It is quite straining on hardware as it is so it increases your overall reqs for games + not many projects working on them. Maybe the increasing number of exclusives will push this forward.
