Alternative?

Been going at it for about an hour or so in order to found myself a group for AM/EF but most people on this server seems to be already done with it or so and I cant seem to get anyone to come join me. So was wondering if maybe there was an alternative method in order to get very nice PvE gear?

 

Tiamaranta Stronghold

 

Oh. People have been making PvE runs to the Tiamat Stronghold where the portal to it can be found in Tiamaranta's Eye. Tiamat Guard sets are a good start for anyone. And oh, they also drop Tiamat Guard weapons of each kind. That's where most of the PvE peeps go for a run to.

 

Right well I knew of that place just I read that the bosses are much harder and I would need very well geared players to help.

 

EF/AM got a but old when Tiamat stronghold was implemented. Everyone is trying to get Tiamat gear as it's much better than Primal stuff. Would suggest trying to get group for Tiamat instead of EF/AM.

It's sort of hard to get a group as it will take you a while. But as far as I know, nowadays many starters are trying to get groups for instances, so gather them and enjoy running the instance.

 

Well that's good to know ill try it out but don't know if I am well geared enough for people to actually want me to tag along.

 

Depends, on retail I ran it as a sorc in EAT set with 1.3k MR and I was fine. The cleric needs at least 1.8k MR to survive and keep everyone alive well though.

If you are worrying about that people won't take you with them cause your gear is low? Why don't you try farming PVP gear, like CC stuff? which is quite easy to get? Just do arenas and once you are geared with that set/weapons, they will take you I guess o.o;!

 

Oh. They're not THAT strict, rofl. Just prepare screenshots on the agreements of the group. Alot of people tend to ninja kick out everybody in the party to have the loot for him/her/their selves. So just a precaution, I would recommend you it =d

 

My MR hasn't even touched 1k yet on my Ranger. I am in very crappy gear.

 

How long would it take if I did arenas? I was thinking of doing that from the start but wanted to grab the PvE set first.

 

Create 8 characters and get the tickets from all of them. Then on your main character do arenas. No matter if you lose or win, you still get crucible/courage insignias. It shouldn't talk you more than 10 days, but it's like MAX that it should take.

 

It's gonna take a shiz load of time rofl. Yea, getting PvE gear through instance runs are the best thing to do since it is fast and easy. But of course, having PvP gear is pretty much different than having PvE gear. I would suggest joining an active legion on your race too, maybe they can help you farm your gear.

RUn bt first get SW set and then when u have get Tiamat. BT is way easier.
