    yeah, i guess, ask AM Puddles about it, maybe shw can help you, cause I have heard that theres noo way to downgrade 4.0 to 3.7, maybe Im wrong

    since retail is 4.0 and gamez is 3.7, it's a better idea to see if you can find a 3.7 client being torrented somewhere, since there is no downgrade for 4.0-3.7 as far as I'm concerned. and regarding your original question, the gamez launcher is just a redirecting application for your aion client, so you do need to obtain the client beforehand
