Models not showing up o.o

Well uh, I followed the downgrade guide and well upon logging in and choosing the Elyos thing(dunno if I misstyped) and well, I only see heads o.o Literally. Can't take pics, they just go black.

 

If you wanna take screenshots, I suggest you use the main menu options button and switch to "windowed fullscreen mode" or something, it is basically like windowed mode with borders just outside your screen so looks like fullscreen but much easier to alt tab. Otherwise printscreen saves screenshots inside your Aion\screenshots\ folder

Anyways a few people reported this issue but most people, me included, didn't get it so I can't replicate it and find out how to fix it. I would need to do it on some1 elses pc which to be honest is a real pain. You can help by giving me more details, such as your operating system and a screenshot of your graphics settings ingame (the full thing so expand the menu, might have to scroll down and take a 2nd screenshot). I will start looking for patterns to see what causes it.

 

I don't have the 'screenshots' folder you're speaking about. I have Aion installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion but there's only files like $Patch$ and so on.
I installed the game using the NCSoft launcher and all, downgraded using your guide, and upon using the GamezAion launcher I tried logging in. After that I went to character creation and this was what I found. I don't really understand where to find the whole graphic settings, or where I have to expand the menu. Totally new with Aion so I do not know.
My operating system is Windows 7. I managed to take some screenshots:

There is the "advanced" button to the right side of your screenshots, that will expand the graphics settings menu. Either way, I did notice you are using the high quality graphics engine. Try switch it to default, restart the client and tell me if you see the models. If you do then I will have an idea where to look.

As for your aion folder, check the size of it. It should be like 25gb or more. If it is really small, then your real client is in C:\Program Files (x86)\NCwest\, most likely as loose files. Check that location for me, some people ended up having their client dumped there. I wanna confirm where the client goes for people who never had the client installed.

 

Nothing in NCWest, also the size of the Aion folder is 13.5GB. I did managed to find the screenshots folder just it was placed a bit different like in here C:\Users\korisnik\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion. (Along with plugins etc, around 3MB size)

Meh what you said just explains everything.

1. You didn't disable user account control as I asked in the guide. You have restricted access to program files so the game can't write there and dumps files in the virtualstore folder located elsewhere
2. Your game isn't complete, a lot of the things are missing or located elsewhere. The true game should have around 26gb without the $Patch$ folder (which is like a setup folder, not required)

Let's check where the rest of the files are. Not sure how tech-savvy you are but try this if you can.

1. Run the game
2. Start your task manager (ctrl alt del -> task manager is one of the ways)
3. Go to the processes tab
4. At the top, click view -> select columns -> scroll down and check command line
5. Find the aion.bin process and check the command line column for it, it will say the full filepath to where it is located. Hopefully you will find the rest of the client there

Anyways your first issue is disabling user account control as I asked and restarting your pc, only then will you have sufficient access

 

aion.bin process just pointed me to the same folder just in the bin32 folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion\bin32 This. Yeah I didn't disable user account control, now I did and followed the guide. The size is still the same however..

 

Well yea what did you expect lol, disabling user account control will magically conjure 13gb of a game out of thin air? xd Run the ncsoft launcher and repair so it downloads the rest. Before downgrading again
1. Check the size of the folder. If it is too small, tell me
2. Backup your bin32 folder before downgrading just in case

Nor can I connect to their site.

I tried going to their site to download a new one, but the site just won't load.

Maybe there's some kind of conflict between NCSoft and Gameforge? I have Gameforge installed because of a different game I play.

 

There shouldn't be any conflict. So the ncsoft side doesn't load? Does the NA aion site load?

 

NA Aion loads, just a little slow.

 

I have the same issue and i downloaded the rest from NA Aion... but now i have another Problem "No game server is available to the authorization server."
Trying to get back onto gamezaion for about 3 weeks now and nothing works... I'm about to give it up
