You talk about resist resist resist. Tell me what Rangers slot Magic Resist....and also what Gunner doesn't slot MA considering that's only one of the two stats they need. In terms of survival skills, Gunners and Rangers get near identical survival kits: One 30sec dodging attack, one back leap, one remove debuff skill, both gets a 18sec silence, and while rangers get a 3min cd sleep arrow for tactics, gunners get a 3min cooldown protection skill to survive. Just a reminder that Gunners isn't affect by silence for their pistol damage skills, they are essentially a magical ranger. And if you want stun lock, they can use Head shot on you essentially 3 times to lock you down.

Both classes actually share the same weakness, if they get locked down in mobility, then they're very vulnerable to their enemy. Any form of burst damage decimates them heavily due to the low number of survival skills. Rangers rely more on tactical skill play, traps, CC and hide. While Gunners require more forward approach and just kill before you get killed.

PS. Missing a skill discontinues the skill chain applies to all classes. It might appear to hurt gunners more since they rely on their skill chains but they have the refresh cooldown to make up for it.

Look I'm just trying to tell everyone that it's not as bad as they think by my own personal experience. Even slotted with MA you still can't hit every target. Just because you have reload skill it isn't all that effective in PvPs. Gunners are at just as much disadvantage as every other class. They are actually 1 step below a ranger. People keep making this big deal about gunners when they really aren't that much of a threat. People in NA have already figured out how to easily counter them and its pretty much everything I pointed out in the quote you replied to. I've seen more people on NA ***** about Bards than anything. Mainly because bards are overpowered in no gear. As I said in another thread a guildie of mine is in shit blue level 30 gear and they've dominated everyone they've come across. I honestly don't know what the big hype is about gunners being "so pro" seeing as how it's not even the ***** fest of NA now. Especially since everyone is rerolling from gunner to bard.

Got to agree on that. I've always found Songweavers > Gunslingers in most situations. It's just there's alot more hype for Gunners and I can understand many players wishing to create one simply for the coolness factor. While gunners may be in the same league as rangers, bards are in the same league as spiritmasters in terms of danger. However it is not to be said Bards ain't without weaknesses either, with the high number of 10/10 silence godstone on Gamez and the large pool of silence skills, I can see them struggling more than they do on retail.

 

That is true. I've noticed that on retail its really hard to find someone with a silence GS. It's like they don't think it's worth while. I plan on getting a pve and a pvp GS for my gunner on NA.

I just don't understand the hype of gunner besides how cool they are. I mean think about it people that make gunners will have no gear besides ranger gear for them and that's not ideal. However people that make SW have SM and Sorc gear they can roll down to it.

I just hope that the SW is better to counter on GzA than on NA because atm it's hard to find someone in a legion that can easily counter the higher leveled ones with gear.

i love my glad, sorc but wanna see how gunner works out not that iam switch my main chars on aion just caue is 4.0 am just worried that sorcs SM will become outdated in instances and every1 will want SW and rangers sins will be more so due to gunner class
