[Event Feedback] GamezAION Summer Extravaganza!

Now that the month of July has ended, our lovely Summer Extravaganza has as well.

Seeing how massive of a scale this was, and how much we were doing I know must have been a shock to all of you, I know that some things changed mid way though, and or just complete the other direction from how it was to start.

I can say, that when I was given permission for this, as well as approval for prizes; that left us with only 3 days, (72hours) to plan everything you guys participated in. That goes for graphics, events / prizes on the forums, proofing events, approving any special things with those events. So, if something changed; it was because we really did this on a very limited time scale to get it together and out there to you.

I am also aware that, some of you may feel like you did not get the cards you should have.

There are a few reasons why this may or may not have happened which will be listed below.

• Character Name Changes - With how much there was to send? Going back to find things is somewhat hard.
• Character Does Not Exist - If you deleted it, not our fault, if an AM mis-spelled a name; I am sorry; but I really can't go back now.
• Invalid Forum Event Entry - Basically where the submission form was not followed as stated
• Disqualification from In-Game Events - No prize sent at all including cards

I will be re-checking all of my lists, tonight after I mail out the final round of in-game events.

As a reminder; turn-ins will remain open until August 14th. 4.0 Items ARE NOT Part of the Turn-In.

Anyway, I would like to thank all of you who participated here on the forums, and in-game events as well. With out you guys, we wouldn't have been able to do something like this and I hope in the future we can do something like this again. Though with a much longer planning phase to go with it.

Event Name (Forum Event): ALL (though i participated in just 2? forum events)

General Feedback (As a whole):It was definitely an experience for both of us normal players & you AMs, and though there have been imperfections im pretty sure we all learn somethin' from these events which can be used for better or equally exciting events in the future. For example, ive learned that i should buy Designs for Crafting/Morphing in advance whenever I can . As to you AMs i could still relate of how much hardwork some of you have done to make these events successful (in general) given the little time frame you have for planning and organizing etc etc. Kudos and i love you puds

Suggestions:
>Forum Event: Quote an NPC! with in-game screenshots to make it more interesting! Most Creative Wins.

>In-Game Event: Aerial RvR/Tournament (its one quality of AION that defines it from other mmo games and i love fly pvp cuz im lol)

>Prizes: Rare ? Designs for Morphing/Crafting/Etc Etc

Dislikes: i have a few but but they're like technical and i have to consider you guys gaining nothing much from organizing these events other than eye bags and extended waking hours not to consider your personal lives blah blah blah..

 

Event Name (Forum Event): Find the beach

General Feedback (As a whole):

I really enjoyed this massive event, the prizes were amazing and not only that but the event went for a few weeks this gave every player, a chance to win/participate in the events in other words every player had a chance to win something.

The forum events were really fun and very creative good work to the Am's who designed them I couldn't of imagined half of them. They were all different type of events aswell with different objectives, some events where harder then others and some were easier then others, which is nice for the players who like a 'challenge' each event had there own unique different experience.

I also liked how you could trade torn cards without vip this is great for the players who can't afford or don't have vip it made every player feel welcome, vip or not.

Suggestions

Forum Event: Similar to the event Puddles hosted 'find the beach' but instead 'find the NPC/monster' players of course can't google because the NPC's names will be hidden so it be abit of a challenge and aion has 1000000000s of npcs.

In-Game Event:

Prizes: Morph,craft materials/ingredients along with potions/scrolls/food & special 'candies' and manastones of your choice and 'emote' cards name change tickets, plastic surgery, legion change tickets.

Dislikes: None everything went well for me anyway!

Forum Event: same issue with cerial and I got 14 SS's. We didn't intend to change name and we didn't know it affects our rewards from events. We know its a mistake and sorry for that. Hoping for a consideration

• Event Name (Forum Event): Find that beach | Gather up an escapade
• General Feedback (As a whole): Good ideas and stuff....
• Suggestions:
  
• Forum Event: More events like FTB and GUAE. A "Spot the differences" event would be nice too.
  
• In-Game Event: HnS and Meanz made an event with us to collect different stuff from Reshanta and to give it to him .....really nice and competitive. Also a "Fortress battle" event (or more) would be nice too.
• Prizes: Prizes were good for these events. The only thing i can suggest about them is to add some new remo/costumes to that "Special prizes list" because just 3-4 of them are nice. About those RvR(and all in-game events) bundles ...you really need to change them, no-one is excited to join the events because of them.
• Dislikes:Floods's events (they suck,many mistakes,class vs counter-class when there are all classes and the list can continue), i haven't received my torn cards for FTB but that was my mistake.

PS: I had many ideas but i got bored of Aion and no-one asked for new events ideas so i forgot them. Well...i hope it helps. One more thing: insanitybg don't reply my post pls .... i see your need to reply every possible post , it's disgusting.

• Event Name (Forum Event): Summer Decoroum .
• General Feedback (As a whole): Was the best event I belive because people tried rlly hard , It's a shame I didn't got to win because I tried as I could but even I agree the competition was huge and I stood no chance.
• Suggestions: On future you should do more events like this, I know they are exhausting but maybe perhaps increase the number of winers,I dont even know what I'm saying haha, all events was nicely hold so i dont think is necesary for a suggestion.

  [*=1]In-Game Event: The Game Events I loved, too bad I couldnt catch them all , the places are fast occupied for sure.
  [*=1]Prizes: I'd say it worthed too for the awesome rewards.
• Dislikes: Not much to say here , only the fact that few of the events required tools that I'm not using too much like for exemple video contest was probably a pain for those with low graphic pcs as they stood no chance , or for those with no experience in video programs. Not my case but I just didnt bothered too much about it hehe

• General Feedback (As a whole): It was a great event. A great opportunity for players to participate and get busy with other things aside from PvP-ing and trash talking. LOL! However, technical problems occurred unintentionally but quite minimal and acceptable.
  
• Suggestions:
  [*=1]Forum Event: All forum events were brilliant. You just need more time to plan everything to avoid major mid-event changes.
  [*=1]In-Game Event: 'twas fun. Enjoyed the RvR and the other events. Though some people with different time zones didn't get to enjoy much of the in-game events. However, 'twas awesome all in all.
  [*=1]Prizes: I guess more items to choose from. Some rare stuffs, scrolls, food and items for remos
  
• Dislikes: Nothing to dislike. Though I suggest, if you guys have more time to do it, maybe you can put a special shop for torn cards in black cloud. Then you can put there all the stuffs than we can buy for torn cards. Then, puddles will have less job to do.. It will avoid mistakes (re: sending claims from players to puddles and vice versa). Just saying.. No idea how easy or difficult it will be for programmers and graphic designers.
