Nah, I have an early i7 which is 1.6ghz quad core (virtual 8) with turbo boost up to 2.8 into 1 core. I play on default engine high details. Have gtx 260m, had 4gb ram, now 8gb.

Mine is alienware too, though they are bulky and heavy xd Also you waste a lot on the brand. The issue with most laptops is cooling though, mine has 2 fans, most laptops have just 1 which won't be enough.

Idiot, you're supposed to SELL the drugs to become a super millionaire not blow them by getting wasted high. Sell them to make millions so then you can live in a big house with fancy cars and have hot girls around all the time and then when I come to stop your evil drug lord ways after killing off your "crew" one by one starting with the one that has the least amount of screen time you can then clap your hands or snap your fingers to send them away before our final fight.

And then after I emerge victorious by the skin of my teeth I can then bang all of them.

My shitty HP dv6 runs Aion pretty smooth on high settings, but this guy said "Multi-tasking and Gaming", which means I'm pretty sure he isn't gonna blow it on an Aion-friendly laptop PC, so much that he wouldn't buy a laptop PC built for ALL or MOST games.

For starters, most low-end quadcores will do the magic. Anyone will tell you to automatically shoot for intel and Nvidia; but in reality AMD and ATI make power-consumption-friendly processors and graphics cards. Look closely at the benchmark details of any card you're looking into, (aside from orgasmic frame rates) to find power consumption and TEMPERATURES!!! Since this is a laptop we're talking about you don't have the luxury of liquid cooling or some shit. You got a bullshit laptop fan, always. So the cooler your laptop hardware is the better. As for ram, you don't need much. Speed doesn't count for much either. E.g. 4GB 1200ghz DDR3 ram, and your'e gg. Go 6GB if you want since you prefer multi-tasking. As for a harddrive thats up to you. Although if you went desktop I would say get yourself a nice SSD (Solid State Drive) coupled with a cheap harddrive. Lastly I would advise not designing you're own computer in a website like Newegg for example, unless you've done some serious research. Best bet is choosing an already established laptop with good reviews and the specific hardware you're looking for. Lastly, DON'T get integrated HD bullshit video cards. YOU WILL REGRET IT. Nvidia Geforce 680 GTX series maybe, or an ATI 78xx or 79xx if you can afford it.

Edit: Oh I didn't see that this went off-topic a long time ago, ignore my post

Actually haswell i7s on laptops work out pretty well in terms of greatly reduced power consumption and built-in graphics that complement your dedicated graphics card xd though I would still go for an i5 for gaming (true quad core, not a virtual 8 core) since they have higher base frequencies and are cheaper as well. I would look up reviews for the model you wan't to buy, with extra detail to cooling and overheating/fan noise. I would probably go for a case with 2 fans to cool it. I would also go for 8gb ram instead of 6 since Aion is pretty ram hungry these days and it does help with multitasking a lot.

Edit: for laptop graphics cards I strongly recommend this page
    http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-260M.14559.0.html
They are all ranked on the side in terms of performance and if you check out details, you have all benchamarks there, including real FPS from many current as well as older games to make the cards comparable

Thanks for the prompt answers. I won't do the multi-task while playing Aion. I'll do it for school stuffs and programming..

So, I think built in coolers is needed for the laptop? Isn't the plug in cooler enough?

You mean a cooling pad? All laptops have at least 1 fan (it's a must). Gaming ones have 2 mostly, one for cpu, one for gpu. Anyways a quad core is a standard these days and you can multi task with that just fine, especially if you get a decent amount of RAM (around 8gb, ram is cheap)

was expecting computer build meaning pc not a horrible laptop

You're buying a pre-built laptop so it's not even relevant to the thread title lol

BoL and have fun with the heating issues and the badly spaced keys that come with owning a laptop

Never really liked cooling pads xd

Well first of all a lot of companies these days let you choose the laptop parts and even if they don't, you still decide which laptop with what parts you buy. Just because you don't build it yourself doesn't mean you have no control over what will be in your laptop. Not all laptops heat like crazy and tbh I prefer laptop keyboards over desktop ones. Also many laptops can end up being better than desktops. They are just harder to upgrade later and tend to cost more. If you weren't so single minded you would realize that.

Been playing Aion using a laptop since late 2009. Although I upgraded from my crappy old lappy to a mid i3 and now to i7.. but I never had any problems with Aion eversince while using a laptop. But yes, I can single out overheating. I prefer to play in a room with AC then I wont have any problem with overheating. Right now, I am enjoying Aion (with occasional facebook, twitter, youtube, movies open).

    HP
    intel core i7 -- 2.20ghz
    8GB
    Win8
    2GB ATI Radeon graphic card

Nothing fancy but decent enough to run Aion. But yeah.. I still prefer a desktop if l had a choice :D

You should mention graphics settings and average fps when posting hardware otherwise it has no meaning. All of us here run aion on all sorts of hardware and settings. You need to set a point of reference.

EDIT: Also 2gb graphics card says hardly anything. Graphics card memory does not determine performance. It doesn't throttle fps unless you run out of it (mostly super high resolutions), a 1gb card can perform just as well as a 4gb one. Mention the specific model.
