    yes i tried it once but my gamez aion launcher asking me to update again and when i checked it bin32 folder .....OMG the deleted d3d8thk.dll is there back on bin32 folder :annoyed:... hmmmfff...

    that thing could not be deleted i think! coz its a network parameter... it is a part of the BRIDGE the connects clients to GAMEZ SERVERS... it will always be present to BIN32......

    my suggestion is that they make 2 version of launcher for 4.0 ... one for win xp OS users and the other one is for win 7 and 8 OS users...

    i can play retail (on my WIN XP OS) but when i asked to update my GA launcher it will cause error both of them... so the launcher it self is the big problem here....

    the d3d8thk.dll is causing the game unplayable... removing this d3d8thk.dll on BIN32 folder the GAlauncher will ask you to update again and it will go back to BIN32 folder... hmff

    I use windows xp too and i cant start the game - it gives me error in 5-10 seconds of loading after pressing "start game". I uninstalled, reinstalled, used different clients still the same and I am trying to play for a third day now.... :mad: ;(

    maybe they should revise this DLL file..
    when your gamez launcher prompted to update, let it be but dont hit the start game button yet.. you are going to delete the DLL from bin32.. and after that.. try hitting the start game button.. it will bring you to the log-in but another problem will greet you there..

    yes its a waste of time .... how much more if you will upgrade your OS from win xp to 7? its takes much much time...

    patience is a very smurfy virtue...
