A pin to secure my every char...

In my opinion this is a great idea...i mean if someone somehow finds out your account information he can't change the pin until he introduce the old one,so he can't take your stuff or delete your characters.

 

you can't use "simple patterns" on the pin (like 1111222/12121212 etc)

 

I know.. This was just an example, to mention the numbers of your PIN change position each time you log in..

 

that is why we need PIN or second pass so we can play safe at cafe.

this isn't about hack or something. it is for SAFETY. retail has that, and most online game right now has it.

LOL, in every game/accounts. safety or security measures like this was born because of hacking. coz if no one hacks, there will be no need for security.

 

indeed very true.... safe and secure.... cause we dont even know hackers are everywhere... secret PIN is what we need...

 

i also suggest that before putting some pin .... it will ask first your permission... if you want to put pin on it or not.... it is simple as that.... not everybody want that. but for me i really want to secure all my toons.. that is why people with dementia / Alzheimer dse should not want with this.. LMAO...

 

It is indeed a very valid suggestion for implementating this as a security feature. If people cannot remember simple additional sequence of numbers (which is what the security pin is), no letters needed, then they do not deserve to login.

However this system might increase account security slightly, there's also the big annoyance of having to enter the pin for every character switch, retail-like. Also it wont stop account breaches when people still share their login details with their "friends" or stupidly believe in those imposter "admins".

 

this is a great idea. just like in retail. if your playing in a net cafe and your character is rich in items and credits in your treasure will end up in the eye-loggers hands and also some keyloggers if your not carefull, one that bothers me is, it uses mouse clicking to impute the pin like in retail. and if the eye-loggers are behind you then will also know that pin. unless of course it can be allowed to pin using number pad\

The purpose of the ping is that you must CLICK the numbers that will show up in different spots every time you log in, so it bypasses keyloggers.
