Important Info - Safe Zone AoE / Healing Notice

Hello everyone;

First, I would like to thank all of you who have not and are not abusing either of these silly bugs. As they are bugs, and not intended to be in place at all given the nature of these being beneficial to one faction or another they are considered bug abuse. While we have been at the current time mainly punishing those who have been using only AoE's with in a safe zone for their own gain, party gain, whatever have you. We have been looking at possible ramifications to those who are also using healing skills from with in.

Now healing with in a safe zone the mechanic should work as it does on retail where the skill cancels back to the caster, the same way as when you try to cast a healing spell on a mob, or opposing faction member. Given that this is not happening currently with our safe zone mechanics we will be issuing temporary bans to players caught doing so.

Those punishments will be for the standard bug abuse times and limitations there of being the following:

• First Offense: 12 Hours
• Second Offense 24 Hours
• Third Offense Permanent Ban

We also are very well aware, that players are using this to a groups advantage. Though, we will be unable to punish any players who are with in a group though player provided evidence. If someone is abusing this mechanic while there happens to be an AM online please do report it to us. The AM will investigate and if it is proven, along with proof that said person(s) are sharing a group. The appropriate actions will be taken.

This issue has also already been forwarded to Carl and Alente for investigation and correction so, expect it to be fixed sometime in the future so that we can get away from the silly need to punish people for abusing something that I am fairly sure the majority know should not be the way it is.

I am also, looking into the possibility of removing AP gained from Healers, and Group members who are benefiting from this abuse. I am not quite sure at this time if it would be possible to do, however it would be appropriate to remove ill gotten gains from them.

If we were to do that, it would have to be changed for the entirety of bug abuse.

 

Just a quick question.

Lets say if some random healer heals you on there own terms would just the healer get punished or would the player receiving the heals get punished as well even tho they didn't want or asked for heals?

As far as the secondary sentiment goes. If, there happens to be someone doing such, it will be investigated as that is one of the issues at hand. If you do happen to be in such a situation I would suggest asking the person to stop along with taking a screenshot of such.

12 hrs jail most fair action. perm ban is a bit to severe! but your decision is just a bug from many others..

sir i have complain about the blink of sorc. , sin. , and songweaver still stucked and move slowly in the area and float . they call me cheater.. and i dont now what happen if its happen again

 

The slow/float bug is a glitch from stun shock (mainly ariel stuns) you basically got to sit or put ur weapon to fix it you won't get banned.

Hopefully it gets fixed kind of gets you killed when pvping.
