Bard the new dps magic class?

I'm not sure which is better damage now bard or sorcerer.

Thoughts on which is stronger and better dps? (between sorc and bard )

 

Still the sorc has more better damage but i love bard they can heal everyone and has mini nukes too. Semi sorc and cleric.

 

Sorc because of more nukes possibilities. Bard has some nice skills (I have a 65 bard on retail) and can oneshot undergeared leathers and even plates, but still sorc has more dps power ^_*

 

Well bard damage seems better then sorc for me - Thats my damage in a ma set not mb.

Sorc also rely on buffs as bards don't ;p

and bards can kite attack as sorc got to stand cast on most dmg skills.

agreed, bards are like semi sorc and clerics with right equips they can do good damage but still not compared to Sorcs am sure.

 

both. sorc has aoe and high dps while bard has fast and med dps plus they can heal and survive longer.

 

the downfall to sorcs high dps is the mana drain leaves them empty within seconds unlike Bards who can heal MP and HP

 

undergeared people plus that's the dp skill isn't it?

 

I agree bards can definitely produce more damage then a sorc because they got alot of chain skills that are almost instant (most are) as sorc are mostly cast skills.

I killed a full buffed templar in ambassador gear (while I'm hac) within 15 seconds.

Not trying to be a brag but it's true. >.<

 

this explain. sorc can't do much DPS with MR set they needed to put some MB.

oh I trust you my dear but still sorc dps is the highest imo.
A sorc can do the same damage of your crit dp skill with a normal one (Balaur Seeker can hit for that amount even without buffs)

Bard on retail are quite powerful though, I managed to do a 1v5 and I was like "wtf happened??"

 

so the same manastones we use for sorcs work for bards to right ?

 

Templars are like a paper for bard. Bard are like sm's too.

 

Yes but I wouldn't do full mb on a bard... they really don't need mb unless your super bad gear.

 

totally i have kharun set +10 with no manastones & lvl 30 pvp accs and trinis harp withno fuse and still do good damage lol on some asmos.

and No ways full mb is to much bards i am sure dont need to be full mb but MB MA mixed should be good ya.

 

Yeah but you want about 2220+ ma or even more or you will have alot of trouble killing MR cleric/chanter/temps they have around 2500-2700 mr and temps with aether can hit 3000+ mr.

I actually recommend even more then 2220 ma I got resisted quiet a few time by cleric/chanters with 2.2k ma so possibly even 2.3-2.4k ma.

I'm 2600 ma and 3050 mb.

Sorc and spiritmaster can get away with low ma seen as they got ma buffs especially sorc ( 1000+ ma with magic supplication and another 200+ with the other buff they have) however bard have no MA supported buffs (only mb) so its important to have ma on bard.

 

how about the gunner.. ? xD
