Client updated, gamezaion will not launch

ok, so i spent the last 2 days straight updateing the aion client, then reinstalled/ updated the gamezaion client, and gamez aion keeps giving me a message at launch to update game client through ncsoft.... its already up to date. how do I fix this?

 

ok.. so as a self update for this issuei found the version.ini file and edited it. it said 3.5.0.7 before, I changed it to 4.0.0.0. now the games aion launcher comes up. the game hasn't launched as of yet, but it hasn't givin me an error... not sure why the version.ini didn't update with the game....

 

Repair your client using the NCSoft launcher.

ok status update....I finished running the file repair function for the aion launcher. gamezaion launcher will now load up, scan files and let me launch the game. then the build client pops up in minimized mode and stays there... let it run several times like that, for 20 - 30min at a time, it wouldn't go any farther. the regular aion client starts just fine, lets me log in, takes a little time to render environment due to this laptop having just enough hardware to run the game, but I can actually play it. so far gamezaion client will not go so far as to render the login screen. im starting to wonder if the aion downloader hasn't put all my files somewhere else despite having typed in the download location myself lol

 

What's your OS? Are you running the game and the launcher as Administrator?

 

windows 8 (shudder) and yes. admin always

 

I tried running it as windows 8 w/admin, then I switched it to windows 7(compatibility mode) still freezes at launch

 

it was working fine about a month ago, now this lol

The client was not fully updated and was missing some files
