if you have still have the slot for ram's it doesnt matter. and yes the highest you can get for a ram memory is 8gb. Motherboards usually have a 2 slots for ram and the max ram memory you can buy is 4gb so if you have two 4gb you can get the 8gb.

Supports Dual Channel DDR2 800/667 (2 x DIMM slots) with max. capacity up to 8GB, it means 2 Sticks of 4 Gig's each but you won't notice the difference but if you switch from DDR2 to DDR3 which is faster and consumes less power you will.

If you already have 4 Gigs of ram and you wanna get 4 Gig's more to make it 8 Gig's you won't notice the difference Aion just takes 1.5 Gig's, if you get 8 Gb's will be just a waste of time power besides its DDR2...

- Dual Channel DDR2 memory technology
- 2 x DDR2 DIMM slots
- Supports DDR2 800/667 non-ECC, un-buffered memory
- Max. capacity of system memory: 8GB*

You would have to replace your 2x2 dimms with 2x4 dimms, no other way. But keep in mind that DDR2 RAMs are expensive and old, you might wanna stick to 4gb until you get a new motherboard which supports higher frequency in DDR3 instead.

He would notice the difference if he were to multiclient..

4GB is fine for aion tho you won't be able to multi task without lag and probably high FPS.

8GB is recommended for gaming even if the game requirements don't state '8GB' it just makes the game run faster and better and you can use maxium high graphics without any FPS issues (amusing you got a decent graphic card).

No it wont help, all you need for aion is 2-3GB. More than that only if you multitask or multiclient.
