I have been using my desktop for over 5-6 years(I know I need a new one but saving money to get a high end desktop) and it stopped working a couple of times and had this blue memory dump screen then after trying to plug in and out the RAM and hard disk and cleaning the hardware stuff, it stopped turning on. I mean the power will turn on and the desktop will run as if it is loading and the busy light will be solid red and not flashing but the screen won't lit up. I have encountered this issue a couple of times and the result is always hard disk or ram change. Is there anyway to fix or prevent this from happening without changing any hardware?

    Thanks for the replies!

I've been getting lots of BSODs lately, I clean up my RAM (and slots too), I've clean it up all and after changing my RAM's position (my motherboard has 2 RAM slots, so i switched them to diff slot) and now I haven't get any bsod. If your pc doesn't turn on, it is because your RAM is incorrectly plugged in/connected.

I guess I need a new rig now. Lol

I've read that a couple of times but my pc won't open anymore and I can't view anything even if it still lighting up.

1.) I have not installed any new software or a piece of hardware, update a driver, install an update recently and the last one was like ages ago.
2.) With the space, i know i still have 200GB+ and not sure about any data corruption.
3.)I have scanned the PC for viruses but unable to find any (used avast and mcafee) a couple of minutes ago before it stopped turning on.
4.)Have not applied any new service pack since I know that I have the recent SP for windows 7
5.)Have not updated my drivers for the hardwars since all are updated
6-8.)Can't do this anymore since the screen won't turn on.
9.)Tried to reassemble and assemble the whole rig a couple of times already.
10-12.)Can't do this anymore since the screen won't turn on

I know I need a new rig but I am saving money to buy a new one and trying to fix this f**ed up pc. lol
or do I really need to get a new hardisk, ram, chip or motherbord?

Remember that first it loads the video controllers, then bios, memory check up, then HD and OS load. If the power is on, you hear the powerplant working but nothing at all happens then the MB is out.

If you have the manuals, check if you can do to the MB a factory reset, all motherboards can do that.
If that does not at least lets you get in the BIOS, then sorry.

    Its what I think.
