Cleric Question

General question here. Any particular reason the cleric (preist) start with leather gear? I know they don't get equip chain till after ascension, but... I mean, they can't equip lvl55 gear till that lvl either but they let us here, so why not chain?

 

You kinda answered yourself in your own question lol. Because clerics do not get the chain equip skill and lewl it gives lots of mb.

 

Because, that is one of the armor classes they can start with. No, they cannot equip level 55 gear till that level and it isn't much of an allowance as we forcibly set the gear in place.

Which allows you to use said items when you start. If we were to give you chain gear, and even if it were to be equipped, the game would not recognize the armor as it cannot be equipped till after you ascend.

Even then, you wouldn't quite be able to equip it so, we have given you something usable while not optimal for the class. Gladiators are in much the same boat as they do get a Chain set to start if I remember correctly.

 

And a sword...
