Chanter Skill Word of Inspiration overwrites chanter skill Lucidity

I previously made a bug report about this but I sometimes I feel like that thread is sometimes overlooked, perhaps due to the number of frivolous reports made. Word of Inspiration (WoI) is a quick refreshing party-wide buff that often needs to be recast to be maintained. Lucidity is the personal buff that serves the same purpose but has a longer duration and adds additional magic accuracy. The bug is in that WoI overwrites Lucidity. This is incorrect. Lucidity should overwrite WoI and not be re-overwritten when recasting WoI on the party.

Did you test this on retail that WoI does not override Lucidity? As far as I'm aware, some buffs will always have a priority over the other, doesn't matter which is the "better" skill.
eg Chanter's Word of Revival will always override Cleric's Light of Rejuvenation despite that Cleric's skill will possibly heal more due to Cleric's innate healing boost.

Yeah, I agree with Akikaze. I don't think it's a bug, it has been like that since ever. Also another example, as far as I am aware and experienced on myself, sorcerer's skill Vaizel's wisdom gets covered by boon of quickness. So no, it's supposed to be this way.

I can't verify this since I no longer have an account on retail (never made it to 60 before deciding I was wasting my time) but shortly after 3.0 was released on Gamez it was working as I described with "Lucidity" staying "on top", and then with a subsequent patch it was "broken" with nothing appearing in the patch notes. Would appreciate it if you would ask around GugaNinja - I would think at least some of the AM/SAM's play, or have played, retail.

This bug is also on retail server. Lucidity and WOI do not stack with each other.

It was intended by the developers of Aion to not stack. The current question is which buff suppose to have the stack priority.

I'm not really sure. I think it depends on the latest buff you use.

Hmm, I don't think so, no. Like if you buff WOI and then buff lucidity instantly, I think it doesn't overrise. But if you buff WOI after Lucidity it rides over. Obviously, WOI is better buff than that one so that could be the only reason why it takes advantage on Lucidity. I'll be sure to ask around more.

Still bugged. The proper functionality when the Chanter casts WoI is that WoI remains on the party, the chanter's own previously cast Lucidity does not get overwritten by WoI.

Bump. Also, new chanter skill bug since 4.0 update: Numbing Blow debuff no longer slows attack speed.

Does the skill still need to be tested on retail? I have a 65 chanter there.

No. Numbing blow is working as intended.

    Appreciate the offer though ^_^!

Hello Soldi3runit, on retail, does lucidity get overwritten by Word of Inspiration? Puddles says "working as intended" but that doesn't really mean fixed to be retail-like. :p

Also, we were talking about a different skill interaction, not numbing blow. I'm more interested in WoI/Lucidity stacking.

Wow, with 4.5 released, this has actually been fixed. Only took over a year and a half but better late than never. Still, I'm happy. Thanks to whoever got this done.
