Survey gifts

I just created an Asmo glad today and found out that survey gift are so OP, crafting has been sh!t because of this, Ive been doing quest all day and just a matter of minutes I found that Im wasting time. What happened? I was doing PvE and other to obtain gears and now, I feel so lost, I have wasted time for nothing, who will craft scrollss if you can just level-up toon and gain them, Im a crafter and I feel so bad about this.

 

Scrolls? they were already available before the survey update. if you are refering to potions, most of them are abyss point potions and a few fine recovery serums.

 

There are silverine/merrymakers tokens w/c i quest everyday and obtain 3pcs every quest and now, you can 30pcs of them from leveling, I farm mithril from tiamaranta and now, I get them from leveling, I craft anti-debuff pots, and now, I get them from leveling, I craft sublime recovery potion, and now I get them from leveling, i kill mobs just to getPower shards, and now I get them from leveling, I feel out of place already, how about those people who gave their time just to craft shiz, and now their free, all you have to do is create an asmo then level up, delete, then create again, shiz, I hate myself already,

 

why complain over 'free' items abit ungrateful. Just sell sauro items from the new instances or items that you can't obtain through the survey if you're trying to make kinah or sell the items on ely side not every 1 has duo-race characters on there accounts.

Just remember it's only the asmo side because of the ely population is so huge compared to asmo.

The item's were obviously putted in the survey to attract more players to join the asmo side to make the sides abit more even. I think the staff did a good job with choosing the items there not to 'good' but not to 'bad', just enough to give you a great start to farm up some good gears.

If people want to spend hours a day making multiply characters and then spend a good hour or so leveling there characters to 65 to get items out of surveys then let them waste there time no need to ruin it for every one.

Ain't like those tokens can get you a governor set anyway don't see what the big deal is.

PS: I couldn't even trade 30 mithril medals for 10 MR 16+ stones. =\

 

I complain for the reason it ruins the market and me as a crafter, its a bit op to do this, there are people who make quest like me just to obtain tokens, this is not the way to make race balanced.

 

Well crafting prices dropped almost half price on most items when Carl did the kinah reduction update a few months ago so yeah another reason to stop relying on crafting to make kinah don't get me wrong it's a nice way to make kinah but obviously not the best/only method. :3

I do get what you saying but it doesn't really ruin the market? First off people like my self aren't going to make 100 different characters to get tokens/scrolls so I'm sure people will still buy from the market especially lazy players like my self.

You can always sell on the ely side as I said not every player has duo-race on there accounts only asmo get the surveys so it shouldn't really effect the ely side market.

Plenty of other ways to make kinah apart from selling scrolls & tokens. I'm not a crafter nor sell medals and I can make kinah real easy.

Well yeah....

The main purpose for the survey bonuses and revamps was mainly to increase asmodian population since there is indeed a huge number difference between elyos and asmodians' population. It was placed in there to attract NEW players and charm them to play asmodians because of the bonus. Yeah, it's free and it's good somewhat however there are people who tend to ABUSE these "FREE" items. I get the thread's point and I totally understand why he's ranting all over the place and somehow I agree with him except for one part. It doesn't ruin the market that bad. It would ruin it if we give out 1000x of each per person. It takes time to reach a decent number of consumables to sell especially when you're non-vip. All I'm against here is the people who abuse it.

Oh and that's not a very nice thing to say... We have a saying that goes if you don't have anything nice to say just stfu. =)

What's the big deal ? You get 500 running scrolls, 300 courage and 100 crit? It takes between 1-3hrs to make a char from 1-55 depending on how good you are with leveling. For the same time i'd make 2k of each scroll. The surveys give 250 shaper tokens for which you'd normally take about 80 days to get (on a single character). It doesn't directly give the mnded sets and you can still sell them on ely side for the same price.

You'd think people would be happy that they don't have to waste so much time on crafting and doing shit dailies instead of pvp/pveing , but nope, always gotta complain about the smallest thing...

 

I've had my concerns with the changes to the Asmodian survey, however these were mainly about the item order, not the actual content and quantity. Of course it could be tweaked a little bit by removing unnecessary items or leaving some for higher levels, .. but it gives results - Lumiel's Asmodian population has increased by a whole 80%.
