I love snow! I just get sick quick when the weather gets really cold. Here in Thessaloniki, the rarity and amount of it when it actually fall is ridiculous So we are lucky enough just to see something like this:


Photos I managed to take when it snowed here last Sunday. I don't think it will snow ever again this year.. Hopefully there will be more

Saw kids making snowman out of the scraps from the cars LOL!!

The best part of the snow, is the silence its creates. Snow is great natural sound insulator, when its snowing it seems as if the world stopped for a bit. That peace of mind it gives is refreshing to say at least.

After Lucent posted a bunch of snowy pictures I decided to do it like him o:
There was no snow till last week, not for Christmas, not for New Year, it was pretty warm actually, which is very unusual for Austria~
And out of the sudden it started snowing x.x I love snow pretty much, but it's cold too, means it's nice to look at but not very recommendable to go out. ;D

Is that what u call snow?... That aint even close to real snowing lol, not what I'm used to be seeing at least...It's like toilet paper made of 1 layer and the one I'm used to - the 3 layered.

Oh my god Ddraig I love you, that is EXACTLY what I love so much about snow. It was so silent last night. Partially because everyone left our office area early, partially because people wanted to be at home rather than driving around, but in any case it was so quiet. All I heard was the silent rustle of bushes and tree branches becoming laden with snow.

I love rain too, but rain is too clumsy, it makes a mess when it falls, and it creates a lot of noise. Granted, the noise can be peaceful for things like sleeping, as its a nice continuous melody of droplets, but I'd much rather have the sound of silence.

 

You mean the snowplows that drive by every few minutes every morning?...such a lovely sound oooh and the sound of cars smashing together...personal favorite

 

I don't think this city owns a snowplow

 

Cold and water are better at transferring sound. Of course, water drops makes noise and makes all confusing, is why rain does cause a chaotic feeling, which I like as well.

But snow, snow is great.

Were up to me I ll move out to some snowy town, maybe I will when I am old enough to die.

 

That seriously is one of my major motivators right now. I love snow so much I'm willing to move for it, so I've planned that as soon as I'm able to buy a well sized house and have enough money to make a big move across the united states, I'm going to move to Colorado, specifically Boulder, Colorado. The wildfire issue isn't something I'm too excited about, but overall Boulder is rated one of the best places to live in the US, as well as being one of the top entrepreneurial cities, and I'd like to open by own business as well.

Its funny how snow can motivate you to make such big life decisions, but honestly ever since I've had this goal my life has improved and I'm doing better for myself.
