Is Rangers pretty much useless?

Well, as the title says, im wondering if the Ranger is any good, or if should've picked assassin. I'm seeing quite some assassins out in the free world, and kept me wondering why lol

 

Rangers are quite powerful, and you should always play what you enjoy, not what other people play.

 

Rangers are good, Assassins are good, Gunners are good. They're all good! I personally like mine with BBQ sauce, though...If you stumble them in a professional way, they get tender and become some great dinner!

 

ranger is good if you know how to use there buffs and there skills.

Yeah you're right. Well, the good thing about playing a private server is that you can level up and try each class.

 

They can do damage, but they are damn squishy as hell. I don't like them cuz of that. I'd go with Sin or Gunner if I had the option to chose =p

 

If you have good ping you should try it.

I'm definitely not anywhere near being a pro Ranger player. I'm just gathering some information before i pludge more time into it. Thanks everyone for commenting. :lol:

For me Ranger is better cuz i always used it same w/ Assassin, but in your case if your wondering about some of your questions about Aion classes All i could say is that everyone or each classes have ability that other class dont have but each class have deff. abilities that other class dont have neither if your wondering how to used that class if you want why dont you sepper your self to watch them in youtube w/c make you clear what class do wanted most and what you'll used cuz you can only answer some of your questions about it.
Just be your self no need to follow some players just becuz you see them how to fight but you can choice your own way.

Every class is cool you just gotta know how to avoid zergers (kinda impossible) but well, you just gotta play what you like and no what ppl play as someone said there.

 

Imho I'm a bit disappointed in the development Rangers have taken since 2.1

By now every other class got at least 1 shield skill to block some damage and at least 1 skill to recover HP, while most classes even got multiple of those. You got no sort of buffs to raise any defensive stats at all, except for Dodging (200 extra evasion won't be of much help when someone got mediocre Accuracy), you even got silly buffs like Focused Shots that will lower ur already squishy def to physical attacks by another 50%... Not to talk about the sadly low HP. Assassins nowadays come with 4-7k more HP (thanks Slayerform) and even Gunners got like 2-3k more, while you are about on the same level as the cloth classes (who have some pretty good shields instead of you though). Hide I is pretty much useless since most classes can see through it by now, also thanks to new Seeds of Detection and Gunners with almost perma Eye II introduced in 4.0 ;3
You get to dodge 1 attack with Focused Evasion while you prolly don't wanna waste your Nature's Resolve (which apparently only evades 1 instead of 2 attacks here on Gamez) in case you get rooted or whatever and that's about it ^^
But hey, on the upside (especially here on Ping-Pong-Zerg-Gamez) you will get the fastest class on the battlefield (in terms of running... if u get some DP that is... just hope whoever might be chasing you didn't bring his mount or even ur mauform will be pretty much useless) and some lulz-random-damage from stunning shot.

Although it might occure to be silly picking Ranger, it's still my favorite class xD

 

Gunner = Improved version of the Ranger

 

It really depends on your playstyle. And the way you use your buffs and skills. Well, for me I dont really have problem using my ranger. I hope NCLame add some nice buffs on ranger and sorc too. Enough focusing on silly new classess that ruined this fvcking game.
