Does your AP rank drop over time?

Let's say im a 5 star officer and i stop playing aion for 4-5 months. Will my rank drop? And i would vote everyday to keep my acc active.

 

Your AP wont drop, just that you'll be removed from the AP ranking table for being inactive.

 

Like Cjxiv mentioned, AP (as in the amount of AP) does not decrease over time if left unattended.
AP Rankings on the other hand updates daily and will shift up/down relative to other characters' total AP on the server.

 

Although... while you AP won't decrease, your rank just might. Since all Officer ranks are depending on your actual rank among all players.

1-Star: within top 1000
2-Star: within top 700
3-Star: within top 500
4-Star: within top 300
5-Star: within top 100
General: within top 30
Great General: within top 10
Commander: withing top 3
Governor on top ^^

So let's say u got 10m AP when you take a break. You are a 5-Star officer with an actual rank of 90.
While you are away 10 people from 4-Star ranks make more than the 10m AP you had when you left. Thus you would rank down to 4-Star officer while the others rank up, without any change in your total AP. So all Officer ranks depend on the actual AP of the top 1000 chars, making the range pretty much flexible. Depending on the length of your break and unless people start spending lots of AP for some unknown reason, your rank might keep dropping since the amount of AP in top ranks keep increasing steadily.

so if you'd be away for 4-5 months and hopefully gamez has updated to 4.5 by the time you come back (& implement the honor points system)
you'd lose ur rank (you'd still keep ur ap though)

as stated in the link this system only affect officers 1-star and above

 

1-star officer up to Governor Will be not using Abyss Point (AP),to rank up 1-star officer you need Honor Point's
