What if theres new starting gear ?

So that the newbies can fight vs. Governor set

They should make Archon Brigade General the new starter set. It is a good starter set, but it does not mean that players won't have to farm for a better set.

These days, the new players go to Mix Fights, and farm Bastion set and manastones that way. Imo, that provides a terrible gameplay experience to the new players, because as they are trying to farm, some geared up, full arbiter player shows up and instant kills the player.

People don't do instances these days either, so the newbies are enforced to farm by going to Mix Fights.

At least if they have ABG as the starter set, players can farm blood marks on their own and then buy better sets.

Edit:
New players tend to go to servers where they start with decent/good gear. When players start on Gamez, they know that they'll have to farm. ABG is an upgrade from APP, but it is not a major upgrade where players won't have to farm for a better set. It just makes more sense to be ABG, than APP.

Excuse me? You people tend to overrate Governor gear as if it does SUPER TREMENDOUS amount of damage when that is not the case. As if the full governor people didn't strive to get their gear. Ofc people can donate but what of those people who didn't and got them through trades? Now that is what you call patience. In mix fight, solo players get the Power of Elimination buff that makes them last 3 or 4 times as much. All the battlegrounds give Mithril medals, Blood Marks and Abyss Points. I mean. srsly, if you don't have the amount of patience and if you just wanna sit there and expect top gear to magically fall off from a tree then this game is not for you.

Then voting system now is really hard especially to the players that are playing in CAFE just to get VIP & making trades !

Hard to get AP!? HARD?! You can farm over 1m ap per day even if you are newbie.

 

You must be playing Assassin. Pick up a class that dies in place if caught off guard and see if you can stand for your rank.

@OP We may consider giving starters some sort of boost to ease their gameplay experience on GamezAION but it will surely be a long discussion and I promise nothing.

Arbiter set is much much better than all the other sets by far. Those who donate for Arbiter have a lot of advantage over those who don't. The person who made this post, Aionstar, is actually a full arbiter cleric, who also happens to be an invincible cleric. Guess what? The guy does not even know how to augment his set, yet you are here telling me that Arbiter is not op? haha. People don't even bother killing him, simply because he is way too overgeared and takes too much work, when the guy has not even been playing for a while. Why do you think that the set requires a governor rank on retail or why other private servers *cough* don't add it in game? Gamez staff most likely added it, so everyone donates, even if it means ruining the game.

All the battlegrounds give Mithrils, Blood Marks, and w/e, sure. To get Mithrils, you need to get like 3-5 kills in a row without dying ( You'd have to wait some time or something to get another Mithril by this method >.>). You can also get them by winning a battleground. I highly doubt any new player is gonna enter a battleground and win it. What are the odds of that? Even if the player wins, it awards like 5 Mithrils and 5 Blood Marks lol. Are you telling me that the person is gonna do that to farm his entire set? It'd take ages. Not to mention, only certain battlegrounds award that. Quit defending Gamez, simply because you are an Aion Master lol.

I have spoken to other AMs on Gamez, and they also agree that 1) Arbiter / Woc2 are stupid, and 2) ABG should be the starter gear.

P.S. Don't even bring up Abyss Points. New players and noobs can't farm them, and the noobs that do are the ones that are getting AP wiped, because they're all abusing the battlegrounds. Perhaps you should take a look at the in-game ranking list sometime.

That "Power of Elimination" buff won't do any shit for the beginners. They'll be using APP gear, when everyone else is using ACD or Blood Marks gear lol.
