Aion wont start

So hi everyone.

I haven't played aion in age's & now that i wanted to try again when i run gamez launcher as admin it goes on to the logo picture for aion and it stays there 4ever it never opens the game after the logo, any clues what to do to fix this?

 

How long ago have you stopped playing? Gamez is currently 4.5, which might be the cause of your problem as your client might be outdated.

 

I just finished installing a fresh aion using the link that is provied on gamez aion website in connect section. (it was 1 year if not close to 2 when i stopped).

So you've installed a new client from the NC-updater? Try opening that Updater again and do a Repair. After repairing, see if it fixes the problem.

 

Thanks for all help, it works now, apparently i had to leave it run for 10-15min+ for it open lol

 

Sounds like someone has a slow PC =P

Not really, ran aion just fine even on my older pc first time i ever got this weirdness & do i really have to downgrade even when i get no errors playing the game?

 

You will see later why you need to downgrade, better do it now.
But you can play without downgrade, the problem is, the Npc's are empty for you, this means you cant buy anything ingame. And that sucks ^^

If the game takes a while to load, that's probably normal for the first time opening the game after turning on the computer. You will notice that the second time you load the game so be faster.

On the other hand. There are ways of speeding up the game load speed. Such as defragging the folders of aion or installing the game on a SSD drive. The speed of your Hard drive also takes affect. Such as a standard 5400 hdd will take a while longer to start up Aion than a 10000 or 7200 rpm HDD

 

Almost never turn off my pc & i got 7200 rpm HDD (no money for SSD atm).

 

Then the second time you load game will be faster. Sometimes though, when you shutdown game, the game will appear closed but it will not. So when you try to load game again, you will be stuck at the load screen definitely. to fix this. go to task manager, then to processes and you will see 2 clients open. Close the bigger one. after you do that you will notice the game week start to load.

 

Well i tried running aion again after i closed it before to downgrade and it took 10min+ to start again, i ever restarted my pc and still take's long time to start. (if you could tell me how to defrag my aion folder in a PM would be cool so i would try that)

 

Well i defraged my HDD, downgraded, ran as admin, restarted my pc & it still takes long to start if anyone else got any ideas i'm all ears ^^

Mh this is more than enough to run Aion, you have all Updates installed? , Windows, Motherboard Bios, AMD Updates, directx, soundcard, everything, update all if possible.

If you are running Aion in 64bit, try to run it on 32 bit.
The 64bit version loads twice as slow as the 32bit version. So better use the 32bit client, it runs fine on 64bit Windows

This might sound dumb to you but when i played aion back in the days there only was 32bit so i have no clue if i'm running 64bit aion client atm or 32bit or how to even switch between them

Edit: yes i have everything updated.

also on another note i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it or not but when i first ran aion after it installed with ncsoft launcher it went normal no delays etc but then i changed settings to window fullscreen insted of fullscreen and when i came on gamez it took 4ever to start the game (though i never had issues using "window fullscreen" on any other games before)

 

Ok looks like you run Aion in 32bit, maybe if you run it in 64bit can help you, its worth a try.

Create a notepad file in your Aion main folder,
copy this inside and save the file with the name Aion64.bat. If you dont know how, i can upload one for you.

ok so i made Aion64.bit.bat file with the text you posted inside it and ran it the game ran up fast as it should but then i got "Failed to initialize the game" error. (tried running as admin but then i got "can't find aion.bin error")
