He's been banned for like 3 weeks, yet everday he logs in on his banned account. I gotta know the story behind this.

 

Being banned never seems to stop you logging in either.

If you ever see a random post with alot of random text advertising crap that had nothing to du with the game and usually have a wierd thread title. These are spam bots that cone on forum and post.

When these posters are caught by me or another staff member with rights to the section that spam bot posts in, we use a special feature that auto bans the account, ip, and deletes everything that account did and puts it on a system list that auto bans any user with similar properties or same ip as the first.

That googly user or what ever his name is is a spam bot.

There was a bot that was banned this morning by me for example in the last 24 hour user that posted this:

[Name removed]- Bank transfer, Scam Page, and Hacking tools

94231 Spammers Denied Registration
1209 Spammers Permanently Banned
1263 Spammers submitted to StopForumSpam
894 Spammy Posts Automatically Moderated

 

But when I do it, I do it on all my banned accounts at once so the logged in users is just all pink. This was just this one account.

Also wondered when you would poke your head in and say "hi". You still owe me that ecoffee you promised me like last year.

I know how spam bots work. I occasionally deal with them on the sites I own and moderate, but most of the time they get the spam o matic treatment. I know that's how most are dealt with here, but I guess this one initially slipped through the cracks and was manually banned.

 

Even if they are banned they can still log in, they just can't do anything. Bots aren't smart enough som times to know that they are banned.

But New bots that make new accounts aren't ban automatically. They get put into a user group whee they can't do anything. Which is why you see some new members with bot names with this kind of style

 

Trust me, I know all about logging in with banned accounts, like I said I just figured that most of them are caught by the spam o matic. But like I said before this one fell through the cracks. Thought it might just be some guy trying to get a cheap laugh or two by logging in a banned account every day.

Also you forgot to the put the "e" in some.

As long as they banned. I don't care. If some how one goes through the system (which is possible, no system is perfect), we will just do another ban

I have a tough time believing its a spam bot

Spam bots usually aren't creative enough to come up with a name like -

"A Ser Patrick McGooglety" which is actually a pretty awesome and hilarious. I bet hes quite the image of upper class

The name actually spells out AP Trick M Google Ty. I have no idea what the last three mean but "AP Trick"..I mean, come on! That's no spambot, that's one religious hacker. I have been intrigued by his appearance on forums for a while as well, he's the most devoted pink name I've ever seen ._.


EDIT: NICK ARE YOU USING ROTASIG!? Because I swear that siggy of yours has changed AT LEAST 3 times since I first saw it today.

well it's free for 5k views. which means that after 5k people see your siggy (or 5k refreshes) you'll have to pay. so you cna use it for a while before paying
