Orbs vs spellbooks

Can s0mebody give me a suggesti0n b0ut SM weap0n, orb or spellbo0k? I am also w0ndering about the "slow 1 strike (fire)" for orb and (water) for spell b0ok. And what god st0ne is best to put? Thnx in advance.

 

Well SM's use Books on retail for the added accuracy. Sorcs use Orbs for the added damage and boost. So if you feel like hittin harder, but not as often go for Orb, and vise versa.

Though on Gamez the rates arnt all Retail so you can use an orb and still hit fairly often.

 

since magic resist is not working

orbs are better to a higher demage

 

i use orb as my primary weapon for my SM. orbs are high in magic boost so u can use this for added damage since SM doesnt deal much damage, unlike sorcs.

books are high in magical accuracy. they are good in crowd control especially casting the Fear shriek 1 and Hand of torpor. u can use books now because templars and priest are stocking magic resist.

 

Orb if you want higher damage, but you'll be better off with a spellbook since SMs don't rely as heavily on MB as a sorc does, and the accuracy will help your spells actually hit. The slow strike fire and water are just the weapons auto attacks, spell book is better for this to. With godstones, since the damage ones don't work I believe, ones like blind paralyze or silence are your best options.

It works if they're on the ground, but if they fly it wont work.

 

Umm magic resist is working pl0x...

for me the original weps for SM is book, coz u dont need more damage your spirit will do the attacking, u need to sure all of your debuff skills and dots will not be resisted...
so magical accuracy FTW!

 

Is fear shiek working in duel? I mean, i tried it but i cant cast fear shiek, when i tried it againts elyos it worked.

 

Yes, yes, Mres is working, I have a cleric with full Mres and I resist more than half of Sorc/SM/Clerics attacks.

 

Sometimes works and sometimes doesnt.

Dont know why.

Now im confused. But no one ever resist my debuff skills in duel (never tried wth ranger and assassin)

 

What do you mean debuffs? Because fear, tree, sleep, all those kinda of spells are 100%. All the ones that do damage, I resist most of the time.

 

So its only useful in duels since m0st of us d0nt fly when dueling. Im just having problem when i used fears on raiding they just run then hit me wth sleep/stuns when fear is g0ne.

I mean the negative buffs. How about dot's? Arent they 100%?

 

DoT's aren't 100%, just faced an SM, they feared me, casted all their DoTs, not a single one hit, but their pet ended up killing me while I was fear-locked for 30 seconds xD

 

Nice ^_^. But pets miss a lot.
