Cannot connect to the server.

Once I type my Username and Password, it logs in right?
Then it goes to the hallway of Idian Dephs... and just stays there for about 20seconds and a pop up says Cannot connect to the server, I uninstalled it, I even uninstalled retail aion and tried some other things on forums. Nothing works. Im unable to play at all.

 

Hey Stronkest, did you try all of this out ?

​1. Check your firewall. Make sure that Aion is allowed access because in more than 50 % cases, this is the issue. To allow Aion to access the internet, put an exception for the game. Also make sure the Launcher has access to the internet.

2. Check your anti-virus. It may be blocking Aion in the same way as your firewall. Make sure to add an exception for Aion. Also make sure the Launcher isn't being blocked.


3. Try using the .bat file. Here you can find the .bat file >>> download <<< And make sure to put d3d8thk.dll in your bin32 folder! Otherwise you'll just get a new error.

 

I have checked firewall and it is allowing aion, and I already know I can play Aion on retail, and also I've haven't had problems on other private servers just this one.

Anti-virs is also not blocking it.

I have not tried using .bat file. I will try it, thank you for your reply.

 

Unable to Update

So I try to update GamezAion. But it says System.UnauthorizedAccesssExeption: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x8)\NCSOFT\Aion\bin32\dbghelp.dll' is denied

 

Try it with administrator rights

and I got passed the hall part but it still says cannot connect to the server when i click lumiel any more suggestions?

 

Crazy idea, try using the search feature instead of making three threads in the wrong section. That usually helps me out, but then again, I'm pretty crazy about stuff like that.

 

Where do I put it then? I see no "Bugs" or something like that or "Problems"

I used to sometimes get that bug when Gamez was on 4.0. Once I updated my client, the bug has not showed up since then. Though, when I did have it, multiple attempts of logging in seemed to be the solution for this.

So try to login a few times and see if that helps. If that does not help, try disabling any ping reducers you have on your PC.
