Never buy a laptop for gaming, i had an ultra gaming laptop for about 3 years now and every day i regret that i bought it, of course it's nice and shit but the only real good thing about it compared to a gaming PC is that you can take it in your bed to watch movies and porns.

Yesterday my graphic card died, so yea.. either i buy a new graphic card + repair = 450€ or i just get a new PC for like 1K which is like 8 times better than my Laptop, so yea.. cya Laptop.

The Laptop which you're looking at might also be good to cook on it while you're playing, shit looks like it gonna overheat after 20mins of playing Aion..

 

I was planning on getting a Razer laptop and when I went to best buy to try it, the guy from geek squad told me: "if you're going to play at home, please buy a gaming pc and not this piece of shit.", and I took his advised.

No it isn't, alienware is still building them nicely together and the cooling is pretty nice for a Laptop..

I agree that it's overpriced, but i paid for the look mostly, shit looked like a beast and made the nerds wet when i came to a LAN-party.

There are some things in Europe or Greece specifically that are sold for hundreds of dollars more than they are sold on Newegg or any store in the US, and Newegg doesn't ship here, you Americans have it so easy

Are you talking about Plaisio? That store really sucks, their overprice products and their shitty TURBO-X crap. There are cheaper stores here in thessaloniki, specifically Visionstudio. Also Digitalmaster in Crete which has free shipping for most of it's products.

Plaisio only has their turbo-x shit which is absolutely horrible of course, no. Public is good with what they sell but they sell stuff for a higher price than american retail stores do, and I mean with the conversion included.

I've searched for gaming mice, headsets, drawing tablets, GPUs and other stuff I was interested in buying, but they all seem to be generally higher than the price on the US.. It's like that. I don't know.

My laptop = 16gb ram. 2 to hdd + 60 gb ssd. + i7 special condition with g force 2 gb graphics. All for 900. Alienware for 1800 = 6gb ram + g force 1gb + 750 gb + no ssd + i7 core.

The actual amount of RAM on GPU makes almost no difference as long as it's above 1GB.

The graphic cards with 4GB of RAM have very few uses, they are basically polished overprice products.

When I was trying to buy my Corsair K70 which costs 130dollars on Corsair's website (a little over 90 euros), stores here were selling it for over 130 euros. That's what I'm talking about.

 

Also unless you run about 3 or 4 games at once with about 100 browser tabs open, then 16gb of RAM is overkill as well. Sure it doesn't hurt but most games are limited to allow up to 4gb or 8gb at a time.

 

Im not the one who suggested 16gb of ram and yea i agree, 8GB is enough for most people. AION takes about a gb per client.
