4.7 new gov gear y'all

Today was a good day, a very, very good day. My vacation started...i got bored...i checked the aion character calculator for 4.7 and then....oh then i saw it. As the forum's unofficial bringer of bad news and disappointment i am VERY happy to tell you that the new update (for korea, not the one we got right now) will introduce a new, "improved" version of the governor sets and augmentable versions of the custodian/shepherd accessories. How much better are they? See for yourselves:

Now the plan was to put up the gear in it, make 2 pages and simply copy - paste the stat differance...but being beta that calculator is near-useless right now. Weapon combines don't work right, accessory augment doesn't get calculated, can't link a set with new items and blablabla..utter failure, but hey you can still preview the gear individually. But i was way too lazy to calculate each item's 5-14 different stats and add them up manually so i'll put it bluntly - it gives 2.5% more pvp attack/defence, over 800 hp, 130-150 crit, 20-30 attack, about 100-200 accuracy,40-50 mr, 40-50 magic suppression, 300-400 defence and most importantly - 80 silence/para resist and 25 silence/resist penetration.

Now what makes me all joyous and shit is that in a few months you people will have to re-gear your characters completely...for about 300-400$...and an extra 70-80 for accessory enchants. Sucks, don't it? Oh and by the time we get it korea will be 5.0 with a new level cap and (of course !) new gear to go along with it.



So who wants to bet we'll get a "we will not be adding this gear to the item-shop" and a few months later it will appear for 500 credits over the current prices?

In any case i think even if there's new gear out there (which is something normal), someone who's at least a little knowledgeable will still do ok with a second grade gear.

To be honest i think Aion is a pretty bad game right now, it used to be very VERY good back in the day when abg and ice black spear/lannok gs/ddg mace were teh shit, but lately meh (people are also not the same now)

At this point i prefer dungeon crawler games where you get what you pay, a more enjoyable game for only the original amount of money you spent (Except for diablo 3 which sucks and is a greedfest).

I'd love a a 2.0 server, fuck new updates. back then it was a matter of skill not gear, fuck aion.

 

There will always be new things, that's what MMORPGs do. They trash out new contents, forget about their lore from release and radically change the late game to keep people grinding.

Also for the slow people, this is the official Korean 4.7 (Not the 4.7 NA recently updated to). When it releases on NA, it'll probably be called 4.8 or 4.9.

 

We need a 1.7/2.7 GamezRetro server !
