Solution for ap to gp

i gave this some thought and i just wanna share this to our community..."GAMEZAION" is a private PVP server . hmmm so people do play here mainly for a good pvp system...just to tell you for some not all...the rank is very important for top players and the system we had which was fight your opposite race to gain ap for a better rank works well for our "PvP" server..its a good catch, imagine if ranking can just be obtained by sitting around in both pandemonium and sanctum going thru instances reminding (sieges dont really work)..to gain GP then pvp wont be that important..cuz gaining ap from killing your enemy only gets you as far as rank 1...well i've seen from other guides that AP can BE converted to GP...for most (this is just my opinion) it should work so people can PvP for AP then convert it to GP (is a new system)...in this way no changes would be made but the individual converting of gained AP to GP might work well and the system doesnt have to be altered and will be the same as what they have in retail. :bandit:

 

I think there needs to be a reminder that the AP system wasn't all that "PvP" focused either.
Farming instance Battlegrounds gave 50k AP per run for no PvP related purposes.
There were AP traders who would kill each other in aims of obtaining higher rankings.
And the often NPC AP exchanges using the starter APP gears (or in the past relics).

AP ranking system was as much a PvE game as compared to GP. Least GP is rewarded during battlegrounds on Gamez and those daily Kill quest around Katalam/Danaria gives GP for open world PvP. AP is still obtained from killing enemies. It is less rewarding in many sense but positively also discourages people to do massive zerg scenarios since there is less to lose/gain.

 

Yeah, in retail you can convert AP to GP, I checked here and the NPCs aren't there xD

 

so what we are gonna do now is gain ap enough for soldier rank 1 and do instances until my brain gets fried to get GP not to mention no more excitement killing a general or being hunted as a general since they wont gain ranking points from me XD....in any case in my opinion if what u said which is true with all do respect it was the staff's job to always monitor ap trading and events where you allowed 50k ap to be obtained from events like farm boss which isnt related to pvp why did u allow that? its not the players fault this server is purely based on pvp so why are there ap farming portals and instances anyway?

in any angle you put it sir....whether people say "balhh i dont care about rankings...i just wanna pvp" that is a temporary feeling...more n more people will still wanna ZERG,KILL for the best ranks possible...and not obtain them by pve...the ap farming instances shouldn't be there n its (in my opinion) the job of the staff to make sure that there is NO ap trading...PvP will die if there is no sense for killing or no goal for each individual to rise their rank by PvP :rightful:

not to mention...you guys should encourage zerg scenarios fueled by ap gain for rankings that's why we ARE "private" and a "PvP" server without zerging scenarios cuz of GP...there is no more massive war...n nothing can replace that..it was one of the good things we have...we dont even have sieges for one...tell me how exciting is it to pvp zerg or not in a place filled with rank 1 below...not to mention if there were generals or governors around why will we kill them for? killing them wont help raise ranks...

 

For me its fine about the GP new ranking basis. But how about us High Ranks (Governor Elyos) who have hard time PVPing just to be on the top or in the list of ranks?

Actually a considerable amount of AMs were against the idea of farming instance battlegrounds. It got removed in this patch update.

It is our job to monitor AP abusing? Oh it is also player's job to read the rules and follow them. Look how well that works, shifting the blame on other people. We're human, not a robot, cannot be everywhere at once to investigate people. It is indeed our job to prevent abusers, numerous things have been done to remove NPCs and other forms of abuse. At the same time, it is also player's job to not abuse them in the first place, because a loophole exist does not mean you to exploit them.

PvP is PvP either way, it shouldn't matter whether you gain AP out of it. It is the thrill and fun of the fight. I can demonstrate that players will react the same way to killing a 2star officer to a rank9 player. Simply the sight of a red dot on their screen causes a reaction. People even attack AM toons that appear, knowing full aware that AMs cannot be killed.

Why would we encourage zerging? Just because this is a private server doesn't mean it is private zergers. PvP will still be clashes between factions, AP was just a byproduct incentive that also gave players ranking. Do note that all the Battlegrounds give considerably nice GP bonus, with exception of 1vs1 Training and Mix_Fight. The PvE GP farming has been tested and is not yet implemented, (eg killing Hyperion). Therefore this is not a PvE game, GP is still a competitive system for rankings AND it prevents players hoarding AP just for ranking as GP will decrease for inactivity.

Yes there is a AP to GP quest on retail. Gamez has not implemented it yet, it'll come eventually.

 

@ samurai...errr excuse me but who exactly are you??? anyways whoever you are i never liked safezones but yeah they are planning to fix the safezones elevate them seen the vids? i had no choice but to hunt where the pvp is...it wasnt that fun for me honestly i hated katalam or danaria safezones...but yeah its okay im on my asmodian char now...i really missed the gelk and inggison days.n i think i have owned what i worked hard for..spacemonkey's AP rank wasnt even obtained with even a single ap boost it was pure pvp i hunt the second i log in solo or with group.

@Akikaze well sir ofcourse you're right i guess it is the players job to read n follow well there's nothing to be done now except hoping that players that instantly lost their place in the top 30 still play for me its okay...i got a fresh start with my asmo...n im very excited bout the updates you guys would bring...n its very nice of you to actually be aginst the ap farming instances

 

You read it on inet, eventualy it will happen here when DeathAngel o a Great mind will change it, it seems that it is not the time to do it right now. So we must wait.
