Make sure your client is fully installed. Check the size of your Aion folder, it should be around 27GB. Afterwards open the NCSoft Launcher and check for any updates.

& Use the latest version of .NET framework http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851

Anyway did you use the 4.5 items.pak? If so, delete everything in Data/USA/Items and try to connect without it. Also if you used the compressed version and get this problem, try using the loose files. This solved the issue for me once.

    Hello Jannah...,

Before you read this, make sure to update all drivers, update Directx, install all Windows updates, reinstall the NCsoft launcher.

    1. If you moved the Aion folder from disk C, to another drive or another directory. Make sure to edit the registry for the new path, or move the copy back to C. (64bit = C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion)

    2. Deactivate UAC, if you dont know how, here is a guide:

Open User Account Control Settings by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.

To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click OK. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.

    3. Delete the bin32 folder in \NCSOFT\Aion and the Data folder in NCSOFT\Aion

    4. Start the Aion shortcut in C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT\Aion or after you changed the registry in your new path. Start the Aion shortcut not the GamezLauncher!

    5. Hit repair now, when its done, downgrade & move the item.pak

    6. Not helping? PM me
