I didn't say that he cannot trust on people, i said that he needs to find a trustfull person because is dangerous to give away the main password of server for a person that he don't trust too much.

I might trust someone like my wife or a business partner with the password to something that brings me income. People I've never met before on the internet though? I can't blame carl for not handing over the keys.

not only that... carl wasnot that he would get so many ppl playing on his server, just cuz of such huge amount of players, server is getting overwhelmed, and in my opinion another gm would a abit oh help lol :d with a help of new gm, ppl will start donating, so carl will change server, and will put it on the higher rates for sure :d dont u agree?

Snic i think the main problem is there are too many people trying to hack.. (dupes , speed hack etc) that kind of activity destabalizes the server. Not to mention the server population is quite high. Or the fact that the code is suboptimal..IE bugs, memory leeks etc.

It only takes one thing wrong in a line of code (out of millions of lines of code) to skew things outa wack.

Ive been a GM before.. I don't particularly want to do it again. At least not in the current atmosphere.

 

wolf if its so, then we gotta make some reward, who will catch the hacker. like taha +15 weap or set, or some kind of that, for whom, who will catch the hacker :d and lol, it may last for 1 week, not more, otherwise they will stop hacking ^^

 

Yeah good idea ,
Like andresking said ,he will need to find some server loving GM's to make the game admins to get the game run smoother (Ip ban hackers)and hopefully to be offline less.
Hope you don't get this wrong : i(we) think you do a great job Carl ,
But A bigger staff would be Great addition to keep the server and to get a bigger community and in time more donators.

 

Hmm i dont know how it works for Aion private servers but i do know from experience of other private servers that GM's or basicly any person that isnt a hoster of a server(like Carl of this one) cant restart a server if its not hosted from his pc,home,company.basicly if u cant get to the server pc u cant restart it.unless Carls opens his pc sharing to you which i doubt he would lol,or whoever hosts it,well maybe iam wrong im just speaking from experience from other private server of other online games so no flame pls.

But i agree that we need an urgent GM's a few of them that will be online,not every minute but that enough so ppl can talk with them in game not only on forum,and who will supervise a game sometimes,so if ppl wanna buy,trade,sell Gm is there to overlook it,if some1 is speedhacking etc,and he dosent need to have commands to create items,just so he can tell Carl whats truth whats not,if ppl scammed,etc etc.:whistling::whistling::w00t::w00t:

After 3 months of watching this forum, I dont remember anyone with access to restart button and since all trusted and long-time gms are driven away by Carls very poor managing, I dont think anyone ever will have access to restart button.

 

My poor opinion is that this server is ment to die soon if there won't be any good dramatic changes by Carl in the organization part ...

Keep in mind that the process to find new, and reliable GMs is ongoing. Also keep in mind that this server, as a whole, is a -free- service provided to you.

In that light, no, nothing will be perfect, but for free, its pretty damn good. =)
