Running aion and such other mmorpg like ff14,BnS,tera etc.. Will juat not needed a decent video card only. you will need atleast a quad core processor and a 4gb ram plus the card you've said to run the game more than 30 fps depends on what graphics engine you choose if its the "default" or the "high quality"..

i agree with Starstruck... Aion in general uses 3GB RAM so u can check before u run aion if u have that 3GB free RAM...if not processes must share that RAM and that takes some time because it must transfer files to disk and back to processor and so on.... (SSD disk can make it a bit faster (about 5x in general) but is still not optimal...)

So before we can fully answer on your question would be nice if u tell us full spec of your comp :D

sorry for bad english :D i hope u understand what i want to tell u... if u cant run the aion with that 3GB free RAM graphic card wont help much...u could run it on high options but will still be a bit laggy because of that transfers to disk and back.....

P.S. when im playing on my laptop i have the same problem because i have only 4GB RAM and other stuff uses about 1.6GB RAM so i need about 0.6GB that shared memory...is not laggy a lot but is not perfect ;)

Your specs are not that bad. I only have a GT 220 128 bit 1gb graphics card, 4gb ram and dual core processor. Yeah I know it's shitty but it does the job for me. Although, I did a lot of modifications or rather downgrades with regards to my display settings and even in-game. I play in mid quality video settings but I don't lag that much on not so crowded areas but I have to use the shift-f12 feature when I'm in Sanctum/Pandaemonium due to the number of players surrounding me. In my opinion, you don't need to upgrade your specs for now, it's decent enough to play in mid settings without lags. I would suggest buying an SSD drive and I guarantee you, you will see the difference.

I don't know what you're gonna choose to get but if you end up buying a build that's good enough to run Aion on max graphics with good FPS like mine then I'm gonna have to tell you that an SSD is also very satisfying c: I find that for games like this it makes things easier. And they're not even expensive. I didn't really know much about them before building my computer but my dad's friend suggested I got one since he knew my computer was gonna be for gaming and ever since I think that's one of the better decisions I've made while building it :3

(omg Jm already said that well shoo silly pinoy)

yea 100GB SSD costs about 60€ and is more than enough to run the system and Aion on it...as i said before the thing is in that shared memory and when SSD has like 5x faster read speed as normal disks your shared tasks runs 5x faster :D (+ in these days with all that send logs u open aion a lot faster too with SSD....a bit more as 2mins on my laptop....but a friend with decent PC said his time betwen clicking on start and log in screen is around 30sec :D)

Go to Control panel > Device manager > Disk Drive and can you tell me the name of your drive? I can find out for you or you can google up the model name and find out.

Like for my computer, I built it for gaming. I have 16 GB of RAM. a i7 CPU that is overclocking at about 4.2 ghz and a 2 gb Geforce gtx 770 but I am using a Harddrive because when I ordered the parts for the computer so I can build it, I forgot to buy a SSD drive like I wanted to. So I went to my local store, bought one of those 2tb External harddrives that is meant to be used with USB; broke it open (yes I broke it) and took out the Harddrive that was inside it and I am using that as my HDD. Its slow but gets the job done.

For Aion, You can run it perfectly with any computer with at least 4GB of RAM. (I say 4GB because you will need that extra 1GB for your OS and any other background tasks). I recommend at least 6gb and a good Multicore CPU. When I play, I am only using 20% of my CPU's Capabilities. So you do not need the best CPU but you do need one that can handle alot of threads. And I do recommend a 10000 RPM HDD or a good SSD. My plan is to have a new SSD with about 60 GB and split it in half and have my OS installed on about 10gb and the rest is going to be for games Like Aion, LoL, any any other games I play. When looking at a Harddrive. You are looking at its Read/write speed. A standard harddrive normal speed is 5400 RPM and alot of common computers with HDDs run at 7200 RPM. I like using 10000 RPM HDD but the HDD I am using is 5400 since of course, I bought it from a cheap store and its a cheap brand. But to be honest, most people think that the bigger your harddrive, the better. That is not the case. It depends on the speed. Like I know people who think the reason their PS3 is slow and freezes up when playing CoD Zombies or GTA5 when there are alot of explosions is because they bought the 250 gb version, not the 500gb. No, its because, one, PS3s only have like 512 MB of RAM and the core is just as slow as Pentium. But the only reason why it can handle games that many computers with higher specs can't is because the PS3 is focused on one or two tasks and that is playing the game where our computers are not only playing the game, but also running a large OS and running many background tasks that we can only control to a certain extent before Windows says (insert beep here) you.

For Graphics card, I am using a more powerful Graphics card, most people are satisfied with 760 or 680. When it comes to Video card, the main thing that the game needs is pixel shader and vertex shader. Both of these are used for rendering the game graphics such as Bloom effects, Blurs, Lightings, and the ability to give your computer the ability to make your game look more real with less "Graphical" lag. The better the card with higher settings for these two, the faster you will be able to load individual processes for the game when it comes to graphics. Such as Clouds, Water effects, and alot of other awesome features.

If you are using a lower performing computer. I would google up was of boosting it's potention such as Registry cleaning, CPU boosting, RAM clearing, msconfig changes, ETC.

Your current computer seems better than my laptop when it comes to speed but not better when it comes to handling as much tasks. I would try to upgrade the RAM to a higher quantity such as bringing it to 4gb.

You can check this site for a test if you want:

    http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri?gameName=aion&itemId=10900&p=r

I use this site to test my computer for any game I want to see if it can handle it at high settings.

You can play the game with your computer. But just because your computer meets minimum or recommended requirements, doesn't mean it is meant to play the game.

I never look at the minimum or recommended.
