Well... NOTHING happens with the GameZ launcher ... again, if i try the .bat file you guys have it shows the same error - failed to initialize the game. If I try with the 64 bit .bat file it runs the game but when I type in my account it just says failed to login to the authorization server.

I have to go out now, but I will keep trying when I get back home. If you've got any other ideas let me know!

NOTE: I did downgrade again. Running everything as admin and what not. Seems like the issue is with the 32 bit launching of the game.

Did you reinstall the Gamez launcher and change the path of the launcher to the main folder?

    Try disabling your UAC.

Try to follow these few steps and let us know if you get any results:

Delete the Bin32 and Bin64 folder of your Aion client.
Repair the client and make sure your Bin32 and Bin64 folders have been re-downloaded.
Copy all the files from the Bin32 folder to your Bin64 folder.
Re-install the GamezAion launcher, make sure you select the correct Aion folder.
Start the game through Gamez's launcher and make sure you run as Admin.

If you still get the "failed to initialize" problem, try to delete your Bin64 folder completely and launch the game afterwards.

I had a lot of hope in this method, but still no luck! :/ The gamez launcher does nothing after I hit start game, the process appears but it's frozen again. When I try with the .bat launcher you have nothing happens besides the process that appears but it's stuck at even lower memory. The only thing I did differently was to downgrade after repairing because the NCSoft launcher updated the game.

EDIT: Is anyone actually running this at x64 bit??

What did you do to "change" your game to 64 bit?

Um I didn't get the question? The only thing I changed before was the .bat file you guys have. In it's code it was written to look for 32 bit and I just changed the path to look for 64 bit.

Seems like no matter what I do I'm back to failed to initialize and it's not the same issue described in the common issues - even though I'm trying that same fix at the moment.

Just fyi after reinstalling everything the official launcher started the game, but after downgrading and installing GamezLauncher i'm back at the same thing - nothing happens after hitting Start Game.

I am about to upload my client somehow to a site and allow you to download it so I know that the client is not the issue. I doubt it's the client on your computer. I think it is something with your computer blocking the program or your computer not recognizing the path and is freezing the thread on the CPU and preventing it from continuing the task.

So what I am going to do, is download the game myself since I don't have it, then upload it on a mediashare site. And give you the link to download. I doubt this will work but I am out of ideas and I am just thinking of anything to try to get this fixed for you.

    A:\Games\NCSoft

This is my game folder path, since it was manually directed at installation it's not named Aion but just NCSoft. That is where the BaseDir is pointing to in the regedit as well.. Regardless I tried by adding A:\Games\NCSoft\Aion at the end but still no change.

Kyle I was thinking about this but since the client is almost 30gigs I thought you wouldn't be able to upload it anywhere :/

Aion doesn't run as 64x bit on private servers, you need to run it as 32 bit.
Try to delete Bin32 and Bin64 again, then instead of copying bin32 files to bin64, copy the bin64 to the bin32 ones and check if there are any results. Also, fix the changes you made to the .bat file, that won't work if you set the path to Bin64 folder.

This managed to get me to loading the game, but I'm stuck at the failed to initialize error. I did try the delete L10N folder method, repair and try again but same stuff happens. Any further ideas? :D

EDIT: I managed to run the game and see the server selection by using another private server's files. Of course when I selected the server it failed to connect since there are missing files according to your launcher. (Well DUH! I used different server files) However, I believe I narrowed down the problem to your server files being incompatible with my version of windows, or just certain files need to be added/replaced/edited in order for it to work - I think so since the other server is providing 64bit files to replace the original ones as well.

I'm running aion as 32bit with my Windows 7 64x bit easily, had no such issues.
Would you mind taking a screenshot of your aion installation folder and your bin32/64 folders? Could you tell me if you are by chance using norton/nod32 antivirus?
